Please, please sign a CM. The only reason I want this is so I don't have to listen to the same people going on about how our midfield is 'crap' and we won't win anything. I don't want to hear the same bollocks spouted every year about our 'decline' and how we are completely broke and cannot compete with any one for big players. Please, Sir Alex, for my own sanity sign a CM to silence the doubters and haters.
I don't think SAF checks this forum often, but I'm sure the next time he will he will heed your pleas and sign a new CM. Alternatively he won't, he'll just continue winning trophies and reaching European finals with our current crap central midfield. To be honest, that sounds more like him

Hmm...that sounds like a serious case. Medically, I recommend a course of trophies. Over the past few years I've found that regular trophies helps overcome the damaging psychiatric implications of other fans constantly claiming that their midfield / goalkeeper / strikers / defenders / manager / ground / owners / kit / fans / sponsorship deals / youth academy / half time pies / history / assistant manager / scouts / director of football / former players / former managers / medical staff / tea ladies are better than ours.
Who gives a **** what they say ? Let them carry on, they are just trying to find something to cling onto. Like swarbs said our **** midfield can keep winning trophies whilst Liverpool 'superior' midfield can come 6th.
Who gives a **** what other ****ers say? As long as this team keeps on shutting people up on the pitch I'm not arsed. People like you who think they know more about what Manchester United needs are as clueless as they come. If he doesn't sign a central midfielder it is because he doesn't want to. If he was so desperate to get a player, he would have got a player. Instead he signed a winger we didn't really need and a centre back we didn't really need thus having me believe that Ferguson isn't nearly as worried as some of our so called fans are.
Where did I give that impression? All I said was that I want the haters and doubters silenced but I personally am happy enough with the signings we have made and with our squad for next season.
I would be even more gutted than usual if you lot won it with that midfield, and so would many other rival fans so that would be a good reason not to sign one.
So you want the club to sign a player just to shut Liverpool, City and Arsenal fans up? Who cares what they think. We won the league with this midfield last season so we can win it again. Like Alan said some people are criticising Ferguson for not signing a central midfield, claiming he is missing the point, but I think he knows better than any man in this world what Manchester United need and if he is content with his midfield, so should we be.
Interesting that no-one's mentioned Chelsea. If they have a strong midfield then I'd be more worried about them than City or Liverpool. Just have to hope that Essien keeps getting injured. It's the one silver lining about not signing him to replace Keane.
