I say a peripheral view because now in my early 70s my days of gadding around are over.

My Argyle following these days is now done from a distance, TV,Newspapers,Programmes,PASALB, and in recent times the incredible internet.

So my information is always second-hand, I have to try and cut-out the things that come over as one sided or bias in what I read, and that at times is difficult because I want to always think the best of those that report on Argyle, especially if they are also Argyle fans.

Saturdays meeting at the Pavillions was put on at reasonable short notice, and we were told it was probably the most important in PAFC 125 year history,a big build-up to live up to.

I followed it on the PASOTI meeting thread, which is better than nothing. Maybe I am getting naive in my old age but I thought it was good that Brendan Guilfoyle and Peter Ridsdale managed to make time to attend. I thought the idea was to inform everyone how the sale was going foreward and the latest news from the two guests.

As the thread developed it became obvious to some who were commenting that some were more interested in being critical towards the guests.

Ridsdale was questioned on his past at Leeds and Cardiff, not so much on what he had done for PAFC...........out of order nothing to do with the present situation.

Guilfoyle was put on the spot with the introduction of the eight year old boy,on PASOTI the person commenting to the thread said that some people were cringing and embarrassed about the whole episode.

It seemed to be rather a negative meeting, not building up anyones confidence in the future of PAFC.

The march....... afterwards seemed to be undermined by the Green Taverners kindly laying on buses to take people to the match, was there no communication between them and the march organizers ? also confusion before about the march being on or off. Some might of thought with the recent riots that it wasn't a good time to march anyrate.

The match........you certainly needed spirits to be lifted by a win and three points,so when Argyle took the lead things looked good..........but suddenly it went wrong and the more experienced Rotherham with established goalscorers up front made the score look a bit one sided.......which wasn't quite how it was......but thats how it will look in the record books in the future.

My hope is that this is that darkest moment before the dawn and things will start to change...........if it isn't that moment then I dread to think what the outcome will eventually be.

My only hope might be to go down my local team.........Bromley FC......and shout abuse at Truro......... and heinous Heaney if he turns up.

Plymborn, I know what you mean by second hand info living in Slough!
I saw the goals from yesterday and the Roth were more experienced than us and took their chances well.
Plenty of games to get things right and start to move up the table. For me I don't care where we finish as long as we stay in L2. We have to sort ourselves out, club wise, stablise our finances and when done we can then look at pushing onwards and upwards.
