Just been on the Gills board and they all seem mightily impressed with our young Mr Hewitt and the display he gave against Stevenage last night. The surprising thing is that Hewitt apparently played in the Centre as the holding midfielder and he was pulling all the strings in midfield by all accounts! Could this be the role that Hewitt takes up on his return in place of Hyam or do you think he should be played as a Right Back which is afterall the reason we bought him!

He will fain valuable experience with the Gills especially under a great coach like Peter Taylor so I shall be following closely his progress over the next few Gills games. Its good to see that other fans are waxing lyrical over one of our players!

Yeah that's what we really need is another holding midfielder. We've got plenty of right backs no need for Elliott to concern himself with that position. <doh>

I am only reporting on what the Gills fans were saying! They reckon he was really good in the CM position. <ok>

I love the wind-ups on here! Yes, we urgently need Hewitt as RB..but if he does continue to really play well more central...why not give him a go in the middle of the park...could do a lot worse than the killjoys we have at mo. Lets get him back after Xmas and give him a run.

Please all spread the word that we now have a draft Plan for the Suffolk Punch scheme - you need to go to Hampy's group email at

[email protected] and he will sign you in. Simples! Mike, Hampy & I are on the case so far. We need your thoughts. I have PMd a few too, but either they dont read their PMs or are not that bothered. Hamps has suggested I continue to collate any more comments & ideas, edit and post them on my Dropbox...which I am sure you all know about! The good news is we have been asked to a meeting with the Suffolk Punch Trust after Xmas. We shall give regular updates on here too. <ok>

He's clearly best out on loan for this month. 18, with hardly any professional football in him, lets give the lad EXACTLY what he needs, minutes.

Issue Hewitt has for us at present, is how attacking Cresswell is. Mick will NOT want two rapid attacking fullbacks potentially leaving us exposed, UNTIL he is happy he has the midfield and in particular the wingers infront to do both sides of the job.

With Hunt playing LB for us at present, I imagine Mick is happy with Hunt in the defensive side. I hope Hunt starts on the left wing finally at Charlton, offering us much needed balance down the left.

Therefore, I cannot see Chambers not figuring at RB probably until the new year at the earliest.

How has Chambers been playing there?

I hope Vaseli can go out on loan too. I was delighted when we signed him, however....!?
