Good move for the gash, if they have any sense (don't answer that!) they will do half price student deals or something and get the UWE students hooked on antidepressants...

    Glos play in Bristol anyway...

Delighted that The Gas are getting their ground in partnership with the local community. It's such a good example of how it should be done.

City's legal fees must be astronomical...

I think Sainsbury's will get the planning permission they require for the mem, and then make the decision that they have enough supermarkets in Bristol and pull out of the Trashton fiasco.<laugh>

I think it is equally important to consider the relationship with the University. Sports sponsorships at universities attract the top amateur players from all over the world to the campuses with the biggest reputation. Its worth taking a look at how Durham University's Sports Dept. has influenced the impressive rise in North East sporting scene by attracting top international coaches to develop their teams. UWE will have the biggest campus in the UK. The Gas will be in a unique situation. Almost certain to get lower profile international matches and quite probably English sporting development association.
