I did notice this. this is not the first time this has happened if I recall correctly, maybe a couple of month ago.

Think they quoted SB as saying same "vain" when the context was clearly "vein".

In the Swanny report on the game it said Elmo went passed Cole on the left flank, pity they don't know their left from their right.

 

It's sad to see the HDM doing so poorly when other local newspapers are excelling...

Gwylym was on sports news at half 4 and had about 6 attempts at pronouncing Nikica Jelavic and just had to give up in embarrassment.

Preparation? Zero.

Professionalism ? Zero.

Ability to listen and remember topical names? Zero.

 

I don't understand why they can't cope with names like that on Humberside. Burnsy even does it and he's usually very good at what he does. If you've heard 'Nikita Jelavic' a few times surely you can pronounce it pretty easily? It's hardly like that Polish lad Blaszksycklswsksyskwszyxovski is it?

They read it off autocue but they appear to have zero prep for the 'difficult' names.

That or an utter inability to read.
