I log onto this site at least five and often ten times a day and I think it is time to ditch our banner. Every day I have to look at Cisse who plays elsewhere and has done nothing for us this season. There is a jet that has gone off the radar. And then there is Tarbs. Where do we start with that. I have liked him having been around to see many skilled players in the hoops, Clive Clark, Rodney, Stan and many (sorry should have said some) others. If there is a grain of truth in the latest stories about Tarbs not only do I not want him on the banner but worse of all I have to appologise to Swords (hope his ban means he cant read this). Anyway the point of the thread is that we need a new banner for next season. None of out current players are worthy of an appearance so what do we do? My suggestion is that we make it a bit of a memorial to Brix. Obviously it would have to be with Pat and Dions approval/agreement especially if a photo is to be included. I think it was Roller that spoke to them so perhaps he could ask how they would feel about it. Over to you fellows.
I think having Brix in the banner would be strange and inappropriate somehow. I doubt it's what he'd want, too. How about some classic Rs players, like McDonald, Marsh, Cookie, etc. Or some of our loyal players, Mackie, Hill, Tarbs (if the stories aren't true), and maybe some of the youth players who are evidently being given a whiff of a chance next season?
Agreed .................. I think we should have a banner of the fans, in truth, we really are the only genuine ones that love the club.
Just put in a Picture of our beloved LR and that should be it. No need to change the pics everytime the players are gone.
I agree with the need to change the banner, but, in my opinion, David would have hated the thought that it was dedicated to him. I do, however, wholeheartedly agree that we should honour his massive contribution to this forum. My preference would be for a banner comprising a number of our former heroes such as Macca, Stan, the 1967 team League Cup winning team, Sexton, Terry, Ollie, Cookie, Gerry, Gareth, Kev (stop me when you get bored....) and have a small, tasteful plaque in memory of BrixtonR in amongst those other legends. Any takers?
That sounds good Roller, a plaque surrounded by old players. now the argument starts about which players. My first visit to the Loft was 62 years ago so I will leave you to it.
Plenty of greats to choose from that have not stuck two fingers up to the club. I really don't think anything to do with Brix would be either appropriate or, more importantly, what he would have wanted. We can mark our respect and his memory in much better ways...
In honour of Brix....Just have the words "Not606.....QPR" somewhere on the banner We all know he got us here and developed us here. The fact we keep coming here and logging on is probably all he wanted

superdoopahoopsa i think you nailed on the head there mate. as for the QPR plane i saw it at Singapore airport last year. it was the cherry on top of the cake for my holiday
