I'll start off by saying I have the utmost respect for one the biggest and most prestigious football clubs in the world with a proud history. As an admirer of Liverpool (I always follow Liverpool in Europe against foreign teams) rather than an out-and-out fan I've always found it strange how unpopular Rafa Benitez was. He consistently got Liverpool challenging for the title or at least in the top 4. He had great success in Europe winning one of the most memorable CL finals of all time. Why were Liverpool fans so against him? And if you could turn back time and get him back, would you?

It's a salad vegetable with a very limited shelf life- it very quickly goes limp and uninteresting.

I would recommend that the mods ask for an ip check on the amount of "newbies" appearing now. one does feel some silly boy is up to the usual here.

At the time I thought that it was right for a change of manager however I now have to admit I was wrong. His worst team ie. the team that finished 7th was no worse than the team we have now which is likely to finish around the same place despite the massive amount of money spent compared to Rafa. I was critical of the sometimes negative football we played but it was nowhere near as negative as the football lately. Ive really had enough of us playing 4-5-1 every match and the lack of quality attacking players. I was very critical of him wasting what little money he had to spend on Aquilani and then not playing him but this is nothing compared to the money for Henderson, Carroll and Downing, none of which are good enough for Liverpool based on the evidence so far.Hate to say it but if we don't finish top 4 (which was definately achievable this year due to the poorest Chelsea and Arsenal teams in years) then its time for a change of manager and really who else is out there? Don't say Mourinho because its the worst kept secret he will be the next Man utd manager.
