I`m getting on a bit and the memory is not so good now, so I arks my fellow knowledgeable posters to assist with the following if possible please: I know it was a cup game, and I believe it was against Yeovil, and we won 3-1 away. There goalie made a howler by placing the ball down to take a standing kick, and our centre foward nipped in to scoure.......who was the scorer anyone?
No response noted on this one, but I couldn`t give it up. For anyone interested I found it was an FA Cup game at Yeovil. A replay after a 1-1 draw an Ninian Park, and the goalie threw the ball out with an attempted back spin, but it rolled forward. Our prolific scorer at the time picked it up quickly and fired into an empty net. Kevin Nugent! 2-1 city. Anyone any memories of him to divulge?
We won 2-1 away in 1998/1999 FA Cup 3rd Round Replay. Is that the game? Kevin Nugent scored in the 91st minute. EDIT: Didn't notice your second post I remember he did well, but wasn't he injury prone??
