    Whatever your feelings towards protesting this is a must read.

    It is for guys like this that we must get rid of the Belgians, if you are not for the protests then please do not criticise those who do attend them because the protesters actions are there trying to save the club NOT destroy it.

    <cheers>

    Great piece albeit a little frightening. I lost a best mate to depression last year,and it's a terrible afliction, where all the old values drop to zero. He was a football fan, who died out of season, and quite a few of us figured the summer took away the one supporting arm he had. As for the protests, it spells it out again. The protesters are trying to sabe the club from those who can't, or for reasons of ego, won't. This situation won't change while RD is at the helm (Katrien is a nasty irrelevance, sack her and another mindless freak will take her place). I'm still seeing a few on CL who claim relegation is not yet certain, and we need to unite against Boro, and I'm sure that a lot more who don't use these fórum places feel the same.
    So I salute all the ones who protest today, and keep trying to drive the demons from our club. It ain't anti Belgian, or anti Foreign, or even Bring Back CP, it is Save Our Club, and anyone who goes today should bear that in mind. Nothing else matters.

    Rick Everitt has put a good article on VOTV online this morning, basically urging every Charlton fan to seize the moment today in front of a national TV audience. "Humiliate the ownership" is the phrase used. All but condones a pitch invasion. Personally I think if a few try to get on today, a lot more will follow <whistle>

    It will be interesting to see - but Sue Parkes told me I'd be banished to the Tower of London, beheaded and brandished outside of the valley serving as a warning to others if they dare cross that white line.

    The pitch invasion, which is nothing to do with Card, has now been trumpeted so much on CL that the Club will be ready and waiting, with extra police and stewards etc. It could all go pear-shaped, and I hope it gets called off at the last minute, leaving the club with a lot of extra expense for nothing. If it does go ahead good luck to those involved and let's hope nobody gets a criminal record.

    The timing of our goal killed the impetus for a pitch invasion, shame we won really, we are still going down and the anger was bubbling nicely.

    Glad they didn't invade, those who were egging them on from the upper reaches were toss-pots, wanting others to take the risk on their behalf.
