If this turmoil is all down solely to your poker skills at the negotiation table, you've ****ed your client over big time. He's left well down the pecking order at a club who doesn't want him. How's that working out for Fabio tonight?
There is a real danger his career could stall now in the Reds reserves. He may find his next move will be a while away and with no games behind him not to a club he really wants either. He's not going to command the wages he demands as a bit part reserve player for sure.
It has been a shambles from start to finish, and it appears that his agent is the main guilty party..
If Borini wanted the move, he only had to tell his agent to get it done. I speaks volumes that he didn't.
They put money ahead of progression. Stupid. They would both have got rich long term, but they got greedy
A message from Borini's agent. Dear Sunderland fans, Fabio Borini is my client, I work for him. I can't and don't tell him what to do, he tells me what he wants and I try and make it happen. All the best Signor Tenpercento.
Dear Signor Tenpercento (cool name by the way), Yes, you work for me. But your assignment is to advise me as to my best interests, even if your advise isn't what I want to hear. I don't pay you to be a yes-man. Fabio
Dear Fabio that is exactly what you pay me for. Those nice people at Sunderland offered a ridiculous amount of money for you. I mean to say it was only the other day I told you that you are worth about 5 to 6 million tops and that is in Euros. If we took the 14 million pounds like I advised we both would have been set up for life.
I wonder if Gus gives us the real reason Fabio wouldn't come as he alluded to this week, was it just money?
QPR fan in peace guys. I think if he's being that ludicrously unrealistic about his wages, I think we're both better off without him. Good luck for the rest of the season guys.
Much depends on whether or not he's still loving Fabio and fancies him to come for Christmas. Personally I'd sack him off - have said previously 14m is way too much - but we shall see. Just hope someone in the squad gets their scoring boots on starting with Spuds game.
I heard that the problem was to do with compensation payments for the rest of his contract at Liverpool, and until they agreed to pay then Borini wasn't going anywhere . This explanation would make sense as the QPR deal fell through as well, Liverpool must have dug their heels in and refused payment hoping that the player would leave to guarantee himself regular games.
