If you're holding out for the maximum price for the club, (and let's face it, why wouldn't you?) you'll have to push a deal through before August 13th. Because as soon as a ball is kicked in anger, the limitations of the team - a direct consequence of your refusal to invest in it - will result in the club being rooted to the bottom of the table, quickly becoming a laughing stock and a Championship club in waiting, reducing its appeal to any potential buyer, and more importantly, its value by about 50%. So if I were you old chaps, I'd pull your respective fingers out, flog it sharpish, maximising the price and avoiding all the hatred and loathing that's coming your way. Toodle pip!
yeah, the loathing and hate probably won't even permeate their thick rhino skins. But as businessmen they must be aware that their asset is going to start dwindling as soon as the season starts. Either way, the quicker Bernie sell ups and scarpers for the hills clutching his shedload of cash, like the weird ugly pygmy woodland creature that he resembles, the better.
Fair point well made Simon. My message would be the same in essense, but a little shorter; Bernie & Flavio. Thanks for "saving" the club (etc, etc, yadder, yadder).. Now please just c*ck right off.
Mine would be 'You had a good go at pretending you saved the club because you cared. Bollocks. You saw a business opportunity, took it and it's paid off so well done you. Now do us all a favour and sell up, **** off and give us a fighting chance in the Premier League!'
