We are now making some brilliant signings and Paul Jewell and Simon Clegg are to be congratulated! An 18 year old with a dodgy hip but one for the future. A strong and pacey Centre Back who will be our future captain and we are now on the verge of signing an amazing young keeper who will be our no1 for many years to come! I just can't believe all you whingers out there who have ever doubted our management team. All we need now is a prolific striker to partner Chops up front and a pacey tricky winger and we will be champions come next May! Hats off to Clegg and Jewell for bringing in these quality players and proving to us that we are not such a shambles as some people would have us believe! The future is definately Blue & White!
I couldn't read the rest of your note Hoppers... Sorry! Meet up for a beer before the game at Cambridge if your up for it!
Nah, i ain't having it!! Congratulate Jewell but Clegg had nowt to do with any of the signings, he has been to busy polishing his ego!! As for the moaners, bunch of ****ers mate, can't believe how negative some people have been!!^-^(or however it goes)
Still only expecting top 10. We've done the signings backwards in order of priority but the three positions the majority of us believed were essential have been filled. Any other signings now would just be a nice bonus but they are no longer essential and we have a good enough team to further assess where improvement is needed. My first choice Team would be Gk: Loach RB: Edwards, to be replaced by Hewitt, fitness and performance dependant CD: Smith CD:Chambers LB: Cresswell RM/RW: JET CM: Drury CM: Hyam LM/LW: Carson AM: Martin ST: Chopra Subs Kello (or ALB if he doesnt sign), Delaney, Bullard, Stevenson, Scotland Cant remember if it changed back to 7; if it did I'd have Hewitt/Edwards and Lawerence as the extra 2. I imagine the main transfer target in Janurary will be a top striker (based on last seasons performances) but if Chopra turns it on then we may not need one; in which case id be looking to get another back up right winger so JET can compete to be a ST
Mike, agree with most except i would put in Kello ahead of Loach, provided both sign. Also, what if we signed that speedy French left winger that played the other night, something else to throw into the mix!!
JWM Is this your post on TWTD Warkystache added 16:49 - Jul 18 I tell you what...he'll be a brilliant choice for us. Not only does he actually WANT to be here, his England Under-21 credentials and form for Watford the season before last shows that he's a decent keeper, with the ability to improve further. Ignore the trolls and the moaners. He'll be great for this club
The reasons I put Loach ahead of Kello -Younger so theres more chance of him becoming a settled number one for far longer, and progressing more, than Kello - He's probably being signed on the basis of being number one for his hometown club dont want him getting agitated and ending up moving on again disillusioned. Yes, thats being sentimental, which shouldn't come ahead of talent, but as he is reportedly a fan he will always work for that shirt and the team in a way Kello probably wouldn't, so i still believe we should start the season under the basis of Loach as No1, if he doesn't perform stick Kello. In regards to the french kid, it all depends on how Carsons attitude and performance, but Carson should be given the opportunity to prove himself as a regular feature in the starting 11 and it'll be up to <French kid> to prove he should take his place
Watch the video! Ah bless him....
Turns out that those of us who refused to condemn and throw abuse at the club and called for a little patience seem to be in the right this time.......for the merment at least.....how long till the good news PETERS OUT......
