Off on my winter break early tomorrow until the New Year. May or may not get the chance to look in but just wanted to wish the Not606 racing forumites a wonderful Christmas and New Year. Hope you all have a good one!

Have a great break stick and, before you go, does Midnight Shot win the Ascot bumper tomorrow? I know you were very taken with Yanworth ................

Merry Christmas and happy new year to all! At least when the Xmas holidays are over we can say and look forward to being in the same year as The Greatest Festival on Turf <laugh>

My gift to the forum (nicked from Kim Bailey's blog)

4 married chaps enjoying a round of golf in the late Autumn sunshine when one remarks how wonderful it would be to meet up on Xmas morning at the golf course and have a round. The rest think this is a marvellous idea and they vow to make it happen. Xmas morning dawns and the 4 golf buddies meet up on the 1st tee.
No.1 chap complains about how much the round has cost, "I've bought the misses a huge diamond ring which she can't take her eyes off. It's cost me a fortune"
No.2 chap responds "me too, I've had to buy her a cruise for Xmas and left her up to her neck in travel brochures"
No.3 chap recounts a similar tale, "I've had to buy her a new sports car and left her paging through the manual"
No.4 chap is nonplussed, " I can't believe you've all gone to so much trouble. I woke my missus up this morning, slapped her on the arse, wished her a merry xmas and told her it was a great day for either sex or golf. She told me to take a sweater"

merry xmas one and all. Lets hope for some great racing and a few winners over the festive period. Gassin Golf would be a marvellous start for me in the Ladbroke.

Scandalous Ron. I've read an article about her in today's paper which says she absolutely, positively never was employed in the oldest profession. You learn something new every day! Obviously just a good time girl who had a bit of a thing for very old men. As Cyc says though very easy on the eye.
