Wednesday is a very very important game, win it and we have the monkey of our backs, loose it and we go into the next two games against two of the favorites for promotion. If we loose those two games, then we could be rooted, and propping up the division. Generally after 6 to 8 games most teams stay in that area come the season end. Sadly the feel good factor could all be a distant memory comes the end of the month. Signings are required and fast, the sad fact being, without some reinforcements, we could return to the league below at the first hurdle.
Don't wish to sound negative, but I feel we will do well to get more than a point on Wednesday. I hope I am wrong but our defence looked vulnerable to me on Saturday. We then go on to play Boro and Burnley, but hey, isn't that what we wanted last season? A better standard of football. Early days yet, I am sure it will come right
We got off to a **** start under SoD two years ago and Cotterill turned it around. **** me we was bottom at Christmas but managed to get mid table. Still time left so let's stop the worlds going to end in August threads, it will be hard but it can happen.
"Generally after 6 to 8 games most teams stay in that area come the season end." I hate hearing the above said all the time because it's absolute bollocks imo, I bet no Blackpool fans thought they were getting promoted to the premiership when they were top of the championship 2 years ago after 6/7 games
REALLY????...... REALLY!!!!!! Lord give me strength, can't believe I'm seeing a thread like this after 2 ****ing games.
Give it at least ten games, guys. The first couple of weeks are hardly representative of the whole season. I may have a wry smile at your plight now, but you'll soon be climbing the table...
We just have to trust that the people who matter are aware of this situation and have/are taking positive moves to address what could become a bigger problem if left unattended much longer. I trust they will soon so we don't end up back at square one.
Given what's happened so far this season I think a defeat on Wednesday is much more likely than a win but I'd be very happy if we bucked the trend.
Morning City fans, Feel free to have your say on our match day thread http://www.not606.com/threads/bristol-city-v-leeds-utd-the-breakfast-debate.308698/
He's away, usual post early doors, this league is going to be tough, very tough, some new players to bed in, hopefully, some new faces to come in, two games gone, unlucky to lose one, and your already talking about relegation, phew, give me strength.
unfortunately a few defeats we are getting relegated, and a few wins we are getting promoted/play-offs.This is the reality of the bloody Bristol City fan, I hate to say it, we really are some of the most fickle fans in the country, and no argument will change my mind on this, the present forums around prove this over and over again.
Red Robin will be writing post about us being dark horses if we win tomorrow. If we lose on Saturday he will be saying conference awaits. But he's not fickle mind
