... Jewells confirmation that Smith has been offered a new deal whilst Sonko will be released. For me, I hope this means a new CB to partner Smith and Delaney dropped (on his head!!)
Will hopefully hear about the Leadbitter and Bowyer situation soon. I would guess that Bowyer will be shown the door and who knows whether Leadbitter will be swayed by someone else.

Harsh on sonks i think, considering he wasn't really 100% fit he didn't do to bad, yes he was prone to the odd gaff but if you had a choice between him and delaney i know who i would choose.

I thought there was a deadline on Leadtwat to give an answer? which pasted last wednesday!

    My hopes for summer changes

    Out:
    Bowyer
    Ellington
    Bullard

All can be released as far as im concered.

    Consider any offers for:
ALB if we can get a new number one in and on the basis that cropper is a decent young keeper
    Leadbitter
Scotland (done very well this season but not the future and there is better out there)
Chopra (... hes had one very dangerous spell if theres a decent offer we can do better, ive listed both scotland and chopra but we should keep one of them if we do sell)
    Delany

In: (if they can be found at reasonable prices and will actually add to the team)
GK - ALB is ggod and wouldnt complain but im happier with him as cover
CB - smith and delany have done very well but we all know there frailties and now sonko wont be here we need cover
RB - im happy with carlos there but as far as im aware theres no cover at all so a right sided cresswell would be fantastic
ST - or give murray a go

So my ideal team for next season would be

    GK - New Player
    RB - Right Sided Cresswell
    CB - Smith
    CB - New Player/Delany
    LB - Cresswell
    RM/W -JET
    CM - Drury
    CM - Hyam
    LM/W Carson
    ST Martin
    ST New Player

    Bench
    Cropper
    Edwards
    Delany/New CB
    Stevenson
    Chopra/Scotland

I don't mind Sonko he's a better defender than Delaney but I geuss he's also the one who only has a year deal, is older has been injured and is most probably on decent wages, not great for someone probably who if we get 2 new CB's won't get a game.

The only player I would be happy to leave would be Delaney. As far as the others, they may still do well for us at some point would probably only plug the gaps but I'd like to see Sonko, Bowyer, Ellington, Wright or ALB(1 should leave not fussed which or both if we get 2 GKs) leave aswell. I would like to see Leadbitter, Smith & Scotland sign new deals and Martin & Drury offered new ones.

I have nothing against Sonko per se, I just hope that we are building for the future for letting him go hopefully means we can bring in a younger, longer term option. As you said Guru, Sonko over Delaney any day.

One player we can rule out coming in is Ched Evans who has just been jailed for 5 years.

I hope to see Jack Ainsley pushing for a place in the team during pre-season.
