Thanks. If I was allowed on your board I'd post the link there. Perhaps your fellow Pensioners would enjoy a little Schadenfreude. I guess I could always log in using my other name... nah... why bother?

Echo the comments, and it's healthy to openly air our views on all aspects of QPR; total debating rights, to misquote Eddie Izzard. It is not disloyal or treasonable to open ones eyes and report what one can see, or even appear to see. We're all passengers in this car which may or may not be careering at great speed the wrong way around the roundabout; no point in closing our eyes and just hoping the driver knows what he is doing.

Thanks. All positive comments here so far and all negative over at WATRB. The two boards seem to attract quite different kinds of visitor.

None of your usual surprises in this piece TIME. That's also unsurprising given our precarious position and more's the point, recent performances and results.

As for our Tone... can't criticise his heart but when it comes to mind, has to be open to question at this stage. Without going into the depths of balance sheets, commonsense says that when you gain nothing from a venture there are two choices: stack up and go again but with a wary eye on value for money and greater likelihood of the desired effect; or pull back and absorb your losses. Has to be one mind, one thing or the other.

A well written piece that makes for uncomfortable reading. But it was easier on the eye than watching the Rs live.

I wonder if the people that do take umbridge with this type of article, like myself, feel a sense of guilt at having been swept along by the buying frenzy of last summer.

What is there to take umbrage at Nines, it's just an opinion, albeit a well written one. No reason for feeling guilty about being excited, just a pity it hasn't gone as we hoped.

To be honest I think I'm probably not a 'real' supporter by the standards of many on here. I seem to lack the capacity to allow QPR to make me miserable. Disappointed yes, fleetingly, and cross for a bit when I've dragged myself and son to LR for another limp performance, but that's it. But I suppose this is just the place for people to vent their anger and frustration.

Sorry mate, I worded that rather badly in my haste whilst trying to multi-task. It was intended at TIME's remark about the negativity by WATRBs, and not necessarily me that took umbrage to the article.

I have noticed that you seem better able than a lot of us to take the disappointments mate. I like to think that I am able to keep things in perspective and obviously family, work and health are the important things in life, but I can't help but get very frustrated by the goings on at a club which is and has always been quite a big part of my life. Doesn't help also when my youngest gets so disappointed at each game, although I get all the "character building" clichés that apply.

Picking up on the Disappointed/angry/miserable thread. I am absolutely suffering more than I really should do - it takes me until the build up to the next game before I start to stop thinking about the last debacle.
The only time this season that I haven't felt miserable for days was after the Southampton disgrace. Why? Not that I knew that the Welsh idiot was on his way out, the difference was that I was there as opposed to watching on the tv. What's the difference, you may ask? Simple, at the game I could vent all my frustrations (I should have been arrested), instead of having to behave myself for the wife and kids. I then went out drank too much while alleviating the rest of my tension with other like-minded sufferers.
I am not looking forward to tonight's game. The first game this season that I am not looking forward to, in fact. I am really expecting a stuffing, while listening to the scum gloating. I assume that I am being smart for the first time in a long while and taking away all expectation to dampen the fall (?).
    COME ON U Rsssssss (ish)

I absolutely hate watching QPR at my home, though I feel compelled to tune in. I think I have late onset ADHD and my attention wanders, I start doing other stuff. And I need the live atmosphere to get the adrenalin flowing. I'm also lucky in that the blokes I sit near in the Loft (never met them before this season started) are hysterically funny, despite the disappointment and anguish of this season which they feel deeply.

Well said TIME, after Sunday's abject surrender I think you'd have to be totally delusional to think we can stay up now and all the financial implications that will bring don't bear thinking about. The way wages have been scattered like confetti on this useless bunch of wasters underlines the totally ludicrous transfer policy of the past three windows and, if Fernandes' backers pull the plug, our club may yet become another Portsmouth.

I watched so many on this board crow about a top-half finish in the summer, yet I repeatedly said our defence was seriously suspect and nothing had been done to address the glaring weaknesses and took stick for that. It is too late now to rectify those problems as those who may be available in the window will not want to jump on a horse that is going backwards, all that will be available will be those like we have now, in for a financial killing, and the club will be the corpse.

In 47 years of following the Rs I can't remember a more dire performance and feeling so humiliated sitting watching scousers in OUR stands taking the piss. Sunday might just have been the tipping point in Fernandes' honeymoon, his blind faith in the idiot who inflicted this squad on us and subsequent statement that would have given him more time if Harry wasn't available tells you all you need to know about his footballing knowledge, God help us if Harry decides it's beyond him...
