    Now then..

What's your memories of 606, the old and new, when you joined, the banter, the shoite and the rest?

I joined the old about 2005 when Gucci, Tiz, Psycho, Chebs, smugglers boy, Jarra, Raw, Gordon, Flash and a few others were strutting their stuff and not long after the likes of smug, sid, cest, syd and others joined..

Good days they were to get fellow Safc together especially through our promotion year, the Burnley game that Friday night, the Luton game when we sealed the champions tag. Seen a lot come and go through the years but what are your memories of it all?

The opposition then if you can call it that were Somb (my favourite mag), Overseas Toon (good lad), Toon for Europe, Borogully, Parmo pete, Robbie Mustoe that were local and then you had the baggiehearts, Ram606, dances with owls, dingle pete and a few others, especially a couple of sound Wolves lads that used to banter on the Safc board.

We did have also Cityblue & the realmickster who were the cabaret..

Just a bit of fun lads, came into the head and then the fingers..<ok>

Joined the old 606 site about the time Cest and Reden were at war. I remember it was full of cracking posters but you couldn't fart without having a thread pulled. Lurked on here right up to my join date.

Bloody hell..You have certainly brought back some memories there..Flash the Mackem was a cracking poster, and he used to put some of the away fans up in his digs and take them to the games if I remember right...City Blue was a proper tit, but was good entertainment all the same. Boro Gully had an obsessive hatred of the Mags, and nearly always took our side in many Inter board battles that took place. The mods on that site were very strict, and there was no posting allowed after 11 at night..
    Happy days eh!!<laugh>

I remember the post about someone waiting at the airport to see Darren Bent landing.
    That was an epic thread.
Or was that on this site? My memory's not what it used to be.

The good thing about the old 606 was they was a wider range of posters from every club in the country. You could pretty much have a conversation with fans from any club if you posted on their boards.

The things that pi$$ed me off was the 11pm-8am closing period, and the strictness of the mods on there.
Like Bri said, posts got pulled left, right and centre.
It was a nightmare for new posters aswell, cause your first few threads would take upto an hour to get posted while you proved you could be trusted.

I used to post on there, can't remember what my user name was.

Anybody remember Debbie of Texas? I do believe she was our first female poster.

The moderation was ridiculous on there mind.

i joined the original 606 in about 2003-2004. i have some fond memorys as it was my first time on a football message board. flash was always good crack, does anybody else remember the kid called yes yes and many goals who worked in chillinos in the town. the only downside was the ultra strict mods

I remember Debbie, but I still can't remember that lass who was at the airport doing the running commentary? I remember that she played for Sunderland ladies, and I think she might have used Armstrong as part of her name, but couldn't be sure..
