Hi There Fellas, Just head a little whisper that we av got Liverpool at home first game up !!! and Everton at home boxing day from a great source but hey who knows bring on friday sooooon see UTP !!!! Palm
Potter Might be true but, I posted the other day I recently spoke too Harry Burrows. He tells me loads of in's and out's about the club. He did once tell me that. NO WAY do even Stoke City, nor ANY other club know in advance. Because, it's all computerised now, how they work the fixtures. Some might say it's fixed but either way I'm having a fiver say's we get the Goonies at home first game up. or, what the odds we get one of the promoted teams?
Hi Potter, Im realy interested now to see who it is ... as this was leak from stoke so i will just wait and see just how much knowledge this person has lol suppose to b spot on lets see roll on fri ! i will look back on fri at 10 and see lol
I just hope we're away first game as I'm seeing England play India at Edgbaston on August 13th so will be gutted if we're at home and I have to miss my first home league game since Villa in our first season in the Prem.
Well, I will be on a plane at 9:00 am Friday, maybe I ask the pilot too swith his frequency to Radio Five Live! I think the odds are didley squat of that happening. P.S. Anyone know when the Europa draw is made? cos I'm busy during the day on July28th? Hope it's away first tie then I won't have to dash back home on the Thursday.
EastHi guys, I'm not sure that the schedule is set by computer: if it is that's certainly a recent innovation. I remember reading an interview within the last couple of years with the guy who sets the entire schedules for the season for all four divisions (and I'm not sure whether he does the Blue Square Premier or not as well). It's an incredibly complex business with, if I remember right, fixtures for something like 14 teams in London and thereabouts having to be managed to avoid too much stress on the police. It does have to be said of course that the weekend of the FA Cup semi-finals was not a spectacular success clashing as it did with the London Marathon and an Arsenal home match amongst others. I certainly remember many years ago Leeds playing Grimsby on a summer bank holiday weekend which led to Cleethorpes being totally trashed, and in our part of the world we have to be kept separate from the Vale’s matches. I'm also sure it's not just a happy coincidence that Boxing Day matches always seem to be with reasonably local teams (such as those from the Liverpool, Manchester or Birmingham areas for us) but not strictly local derbies. Of course this season the short straws will be pulled by Norwich and Swansea or whoever has to go to those distant lands...
Sgt we are at home this year and on boxing day because last year we were away to wolves and blackburn.
