The last 2 games at The Gate have given DM a sneak preview of what things could be like if we get a sniff of good things to come and the Red Army hasn't even REALLY mobilised away from home yet... I posted before DM was apppointed our manager that if he came here and made us an exciting and successful team again, the sky was the limit, especially if the new stadium was ever built... Without wishing to tempt fate, I really can't wait for next season...
Where did we get that number 14 from? **** me since Skuse came back from the injury, he has come back a different man, thought he kept Nolan quiet tonight. Tackled like his life depended on it. Well done to Del for bringing this side out of him. As my wife said Gerkin is not the best keeper, but since he has come back the defence have confidence again.
Agreed ROD, Colo Skus-A as the Sky bloke called him did a very passable impression of a Tazmanian devil covering the pitch like a whirlwind and was MOM for me last 2 home games. As a Bristolian City supporter, he has been running through a brick wall to help keep this club in this division... Now, imagine 11 of them...
His attitude has been fantastic, what ever they have taught him or given him some belief in himself has been brilliant. The other player that, impressed me for effort was when he came on Woolfoot. When he ran through he middle when Albert did not look up in time to see him. He was flying never seen anyone run that fast. But I have said before he does help the defence out when he is on the pitch. So well done to him as well.
still don't know how fonts got man of match shoulda been skuse who was excellent anyone know what was up with deano's kicking
Skusey was class last night, worked so hard for the team and for me should be wearing the armband! Great feet too. Let's beat Barnsley Saturday - I just hope the lads don't think it's job done as I think Pompey could stage a late, late surge.... COYR!
THAT IS THE ONLY DANGER NOW..THEY SHOULD BE 18th or even higher if they had not had problems..... We both have our destiny in our own hands, its our 2nd biggest game of the season on Saturday....
The game against Coventry was our biggest by far more than a measly country mile had we not won :- Coventry would be on 43 pts us on 42pts with a vastly inferior GD and who knows what our victory and their defeat has done to degrade or enhance the "attitude factor" certainly picked us up.................
Not the first time we've heard that - those who went to Donny in our promotion season to witness Boom Boom's magnificent last gasp game winning header will have heard the Donny announcer make a similar hash of it and make him sound EVEN MORE Italian (if that was possible)... JGF, post 11 refers - how can we BOTH have our destiny in our hands...?! Portsmouth's fate is entirely in our hands, it is ours to throw away...
But it never happened, We beat them 3-1 incase you didn't know, so stop being so ****ing negative and wishing we ****ed up. Saying about Portsmouth would of been above us is just stupid, we can all do Maths on here, but their owners ****ed it up knowing the rules, that they will be deducted 10 points. And most importantly it is history, like the Coventry game. Barnsley is the biggest game of the season now, until 4:50 pm then it's Burnley.
Yes but Coventry didn't conform to the statistical outcome that JGF decided that they were going to achieve and he is clearly having trouble accepting this so replaying it over and over again might change it...
This summer I want... nothing big to happen. I just want DM going about his businesses as he wants, without pressure. First Coppell/Jamo then last summer's Maynard saga and Keith Millen doubting (granted, that was justified)... I miss a boring off-season of slow building optimism with the only puncturing of that being good news on the stadium front. Euro 2012, the Olympics then an injury-free pre-season. After last night I wanted to start a thread similar to this, calling saturday the dawn of a new era for this club. No more false-starts.
