I agree with PDC post match interview. We had a pretty good 1st half, where we contained Chelsea all over the park really, and were speedy on the break with support that's been lacking most of the season. We deserved the goal at HT for our endeavours really.

All we wanted coming out 2nd half was 15 mins of good defending to nullify Chelsea's half time rollicking !! As usual, when your in the mire ..... Sh1t happens !! We have suffered some horrendously unlucky OGs of late and today was no exception. The lads carried on an were always in it but never really looked like threatening Cech's in 2nd half.

    Plus points :
    Rose class as per
Wickham held the ball up pretty well for 60 mins and deserves a crack to the end of season.
Sess showed some signs of what he is capable of... with some dire brainfart choices to boot.
N'Daiye worked hard to break up play and could yet prove an asset..... worth sticking to in my mind.
Play on the break was much more what is expected.

    Negatives:
Gardner out for 2 Games now
Larsson is now past his sell by date and needs to warm the bench. Did very little positive.
Johnson yet again failed to provide the wing service paid for !! yawn !! bored of saying \ hearing it now .....

Massive game next week (following the Mags 6th 90th min goal !! Jammy gets) and I would take a point today. Although NOT expecting too mind you......
    Haway the Lads man <cheers>

Not seen the game yet but the commentators sounded really impressed with Wickham, if he can start putting the ball in the net he will become some player for us. Amazing strength for a 19 year old which is two years younger than Ryan Noble!

Was happy with the team selection by PDC and was nice to see Mandron and Laidler on the bench instead of the usual plodders like Vaughan etc.

I thought Johnson was a lot better today, not as good as he should be but certainly an improvement

Gutted about 2day, gave me a lot of hope moving forward but cud hav been so much better. Mags 0-0 till the final mins, wigan losing till the final mins n bar those 2rather fortunate goals we cud hav got sumthn at chelski.

Neway 3points next week n all will be forgotten.

Didn't expect anything today to be fair glad the lads played a bit better, it couldn't be any worse mind. However we started to sit back again back to the old ways, if PDC sorts that out then we should get something from the next few games to see us safe.

Aye yer right mate. How the final mins past the 90 mark can make or break peoples hearts !! Just goes to show that teams should be fit enough and mentally ready to play until the FINAL whistle !! Looks like Alain D'Pardeux has got the Mags well drilled in that respect.
