Good layout Mick, the server seems to be better than SPN, and good to see the opportunity for articles but right now its not for me. These "Taigs", "Huns" and "diddy teams" will never attract another single member to the site. I'm all for strong worded banter but using those words as titles is a complete disaster. All we needed was one football board with everything in it, and an off topic board with child boards such as gambling tips and technical issues. If something needed to be seperate and unique to a certain team then matchday threads could have been ruled WUM free, and fans of ANY team could post one. Admin are there to make sure nothing gets duplicated etc. Its a shame as there was a perfect platform for it to take off with the launch of the new site. I've seen Venom advertise the site on 606 but there's no point in bothering with this set up. Right now, I prefer 606 for football and the follow follow lounge for off topic and will stick to that until I'm convinced otherwise.

You have your opinions mate, and maybe the names of the boards are a bit strongly worded but I'm considering extending the site to include english football fans, and having a board for every league team in England as well as Scotland. These boards would be populated by related articles from the BBC to stimulate discussion so that really it is quite similar to what's currently on offer on 606, but unrated with more user friendly software. The main reason for relaunching the site was because the software was buggy, slow and ****e with outdated articles on the homepage. I could have spent weeks getting this software developed then relaunced but I find it better to get the software up, get people telling me their opinions about it and then developing little bits as i go along.
i agree, if you are looking to attract new members then those titles will just turn them away ( snobby english ****s that they are). so i would suggest these boards Off topic board - anything goes, football chat, woman trouble, rape betting board - as it says Bhoys board - for the celts Bears Board - gers Football Board - diddy spl teams and english teams. the football board obviously could do with more detail like but thats my suggestion. and thank **** i can finally get signed in!

It depends on what you want out of the site. If you want lots of members then you tone it down, if you want freedom to say whatever you want - then don't expect huge numbers of newbies.
i think frank makes sense on the football board as pretty much everyone will post on both rangers and celtic threads so why not have them in the same place. as for english teams just lump them into the rest of the football until there are enough members to requie breaking it up by league/nation. just sayin likes

TBH I wasn't giving an opinion, just stating the obvious. The reason I haven't been on SPN for ages was because it got stale. Maybe a new board'll change that, maybe it needs new blood. Who knows?
One of the main reasons I stopped coming on is I like to talk about Scottish football, and we don't talk that much about it.
I'm not offended by the title names, but a hell of a lot of people may be turned away. Its childish, tacky and pretty neddish if you ask me. You want a site with good structure but still be allowed to post pretty much anything you like. Doing up a board for each English team sounds like a great laugh, cant wait for searching through every board to find something worth talking about Just one football board works better, then at least whats popular jumps to the top and its easy to find. If the site does take off and there ends up being too much content on the football board then dividing it into SPL and English Football may work. I'm not just having a moan, if I was having a moan I'd go nuts about the **** smileys. I just dont want the place to crash and burn like SPN and TF did. We're making the same mistakes once again.
I've not been on the old forum for ages simply because it was the same maybe dozen or so on all the time and was boring as **** it has to be said, I don't think that changing the titles of the boards would make much of a difference, but do think some of the above comments, diddy teams, taigs etc, are valid. In a couple of days it'll just like it was before, the same ****wits on all the time.
Exactly Mick That was the whole point of the site, & the reason for the decline in numbers is due to the fact we don't talk about football bar "He's a druggie/rapist/queer". Which takes me back to my other thread about team boards
