This has been bugging me for sometime and I'm hoping someone can clear this up for me. Tan was there to clear your debt and get you to the premier league yes? He's changed your colours in doing so and has made your club in recent times a bit of a laughing stock. So why not just get rid? You have what you need from him - financial stability and premier league football - so why not just force him out. He has already stated he will happily leave if it becomes apparent that he is not needed. So why not make it clear he is not needed. If he leaves now exactly what happens to your club? He stops pumping money in. So what? TV rights will take care of that. Plus if he's having such a bitchfit over 15m then is he really that useful in terms of supplying the cash? What exactly is he bringing to the table right now that you wouldn't have otherwise? I can't imagine a great deal of managers being keen to work under such limits. So just get rid of tan, continue as a premier league club and start spending what you earn. I don't see why this isn't a more widely accepted scenario. So a little clarity would be good. Cheers Ps apologies if this has been done to death by you guys, was just genuinely interested.
If you don't like what you read then move on. There's no need to comment. Can I ask that other responses be on topic please.
Yeah , go do one you jack twat ............. Look at the best fans on u-tube and maybe you wil undersand
Okay Swans m and for clarity please explain how you expect us to persuade Tan to walk away and leave the little matter of £140m in the club. Or perhaps you know someone with that sort of money who would like to invest?
Well I see none here are capable of decent football discussion. This forum really has gone to the tips
If you come here and tell us what we should do what do you expect? Tan has not just invested £140 million a sum you can only dream about he has greater plans for our club which means top six but this can only be done one step at a time...this season is simply about staying up as with every promoted side. Tan does not have millions he is a billionaire. Your club has to be careful with money in case you get relegated but with Tan we do not have that problem, your club is poor by comparison. So any other club fan coming here asking us to get rid of Tan simply wants us to be in the same or worse position financially as they are. Some clubs are dull with nothing to write about, it is never a dull moment here at Cardiff. After all that was said over that last six years by other fans with their concern for us here we are in the premiership with a billionaire owner who has invested £140 million and will invest a lot more. From this you can see we were right all along and all you other fans kept getting it wrong. We did win our court cases, we did pay the tax man, we did pay Hamaan off, we did win the championship the only welsh side to do so and we are a premiership side. You worried for nothing back then and you worry for nothing now. The club always had great potential and it took Tan to see that and back us all the way. jck
I reckon jck200 is really Simon Lim.............. No sweat jck - but Tan is just a guy with money who wants to use it to ultimately make more. Nothing wrong with that, but a philanthropist he is not. If we are taken along with it and ultimately see sustained success ourselves as supporters of the club, then that's just great The worry is that he's alienating sections of the grass roots support with his methods. He needs to take a step back, but I'm not sure he's capable of it given the apparent fawning over him that he experiences back home in Malaysia.
Sparkey, The guy comes from a different culture, if you went there and bought a business you could just as easily alienate the workers without even trying. Despite what everyone thinks he is actually trying...the way he wears the shirt is hilarious but to him that is showing loyalty to the shirt. As far as making money he does not need it...football at the highest level is not a money making business. Tan is very quiet and would given the chance have kept a lot out of the media but someone is making money by leaking that to the press. If the email was sent to Malky personally who then leaked this? From what I gather Tan sent a text to Malky during one game asking why we had not had any shots on goal, a question many fans would have been asking. Answer this: Resign or be sacked? That was a week ago he did not resign has stated on tv he will not resign and he has not been sacked? Now that may happen at any time but again with Tan not understanding our culture was it just to get Malky to listen to his thoughts? One thing is clear here...Malky is stubborn. Personally I think Tan is a funny guy who adds a little spice to the pot while Malky has a great persona and has created a very polished front in his dealings with the media, he has respect and that creates respect for our club. Now if they can stop acting like children and sit down and work together that would be fantastic. jck
