To me, James' post is no worse than the "banter" that was being dished out to the French, Germans, Italians etc throughout the Euro's. If people can't see the similarities then there is a serious problem on this Site.

This site is going to pot. Lively debate is one thing, a bit of fun is another but every post seems to descend into a pit of mud slinging with accusations of racism being interspersed with homophobic insults and flippant digs at Muslims. Pete - you did the right thing and didn't deserve backlash.
