Guys, just a quick plea, as Wolves start preparing for Championship football next season. If, and it's still a huge if, we manage to stay up, can we be a little gracious towards the teams that are relegated?

I know I sure as **** wouldn't want anyone coming on here and rubbing our noses in it if we slip back down.

    Agreed

We've had a lot of relegations in recent history so we can all relate to how painful it is

Hope Wolves can still do the business against Wigan though

I don't think there are any of the teams down there that would be subject to any gloating from those on here. Wolves paid the price for sacking McCarthy when there was no-one better to replace him. Looking at those fans singing with the hailstones lashing down shows that true supporters stand up to be counted and come back for more. Whichever of the five still in danger go down they'll have my sincere best wishes...

Absolutely. The drop is so terrible for team and fans that I would never gloat since I know how painful and distressing I would find it. Good luck to Wolves for the next season and please could they kindly beat our relegation opponents!?

No problem. However, I won't be so restrained next season when Norwich go down.

    Sound sentiments from the OP.

The maxim for old school sportsmanship was only to applaud great play: never your opponents' mistakes or misfortune. Well if Wimbledon tennis, cricket and rugby union are anything to go by, those halcyon days are clearly long gone. Shame because chivalry suited the better part of our British being. No question that dignity is a virtue.

Tbh though, I see a fair bit of heart warming magnanimity from fans on our board, spoiled at times by a nothing more than a very small minority.

Having said that, the extent to which we chose to suppress our primitive clamouring bears absolutely no relation to the inclination of alien wums invading the serenity of our board to baulk at our demise. It is not in the gift of such arseholes to restrict their targets according to the most deserving of cases.

The only answer is to mod them out as soon as they appear. If we do go down there's no doubt Goldhawk and I will have our work cut out - and very satisfying work it will be too!!

I don't think Bolton, Blackburn or Wigan fans use Not606 so if we avoid the drop there'll be no point in gloating anyway. if Villa go down please write to 10 Downing street and gloat all you like

Have no issues with Wolves, Wigan or Blackburn BUT if it happened to be the Scum, Norwich or Swansea getting relegated I would gloat and then ****ing gloat some more!

Won't stop the arse-end of fans from other clubs (not to mention GC) sticking their oar in to twist the knife...

This is a perfect examples of why I like not606 so much - you have the opportunity to talk to fans of other clubs, and wish them well.

Does this cut both ways? Can we go gloating to those that wished us ill, should we stay-up?

How do you know this? I'd say any soul's dignity is worth exactly what that soul wants it to be.
