Yea there all ok sky is a female mc heavyduty is urban mc and has had tracks on 1xtra. New subjects personally are my faves there are a urban brit hop group who are really taking off atm.
british hip hop is bangin at the min...some of the grime mc's are really good! I'll give them a listen mate no probs
IMO the British rap's in an awful state and has been for a long time. Compare it to the US scene as a whole, mainstream and underground, and it's men against boys.
Go to fiverr.com and serach youtube - The site is basically a pile of people offering to do things for $5 USA. There are quite a few who can up the views, likes and comments on youtube clips
Well as this thread is already cheeky, created a new band and recorded 2 little clips from are first ever jam session. Going to be new guitarist next session, so its just 1 singer 1 guitarist 1 drummer at moment. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T-dmGKfhvCo&feature=plcp http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XAp-DzfwtIo&feature=context-cha Dont mind critism as litteraly wrote them 2 songs in 8 hours so very early days.
my god really? the English hip-hop scene is banging over here much better then the fake mainstream rubbish all theses G wannabes in USA sing and mime about. They talk about guns and drugs thats not the way no more its all about having something worthwhile to say English hip hop till i die
It's quite the opposite IMO, British hip-hop has stuck to the same guns/cash/hoes formula that has long since been moved away from in the US. Some fantastic albums and mixtapes this year from El-P, Killer Mike, Ab-Soul, Joey Bada$$, Nas, Heems, Azealia Banks, Odd Future and Schoolboy Q, and that just off the top of my head with even more to come.
