    1. Aluko needs selling.
    2. Elmo, Brady, Huddlestone and Hernandez need dropping.
    3. We sacrificed Europe and the League Cup for nothing.
    4. We need to stop back passing.
    5. We need to run at the opposition.
    6. We need to stop the pointless long balls.
    7. Our passing and final ball is that of a non league team.
    8. We don't start our best player, in the best formation in the best tactic for us.
    9. Bruce plays the same system against everyone and it doesn't work.
    10. We lack fire, passion, tempo and desire.
    11. We have bunch of primamadonas who believe the hype and think they are better than they actually are.
    12. We need to stop making excuses.
    13. We need to stop the statements about having X amount of internationals. When the majority are Irish (hardly the heady heights of top competitions)
    14. Bruce needs help from someone with tactical expertise .
    15. We need to change from 3 at the back to 2 at the back depending on the opposition.
    16. We need to stop passing back to the goalkeeper as much as we do.
    17. The fullbacks actually need to get forward and stop passing backwards or square.
    18. Rosenior and Meyler beed to be brought into the team.
    19. We need a new formation.
    20. Ince and Sagbo should not have been loaned out.
    21. We needed another striker in the transfer window and should have got one rather than two attacking midfielders.
    22. Bruce is starting to get found out as being tactically inept. Drawing against Arsenal and Liverpool means f** all if you get beat by Burnley.
    23. Bruce doesn't know how to change tactics when things are going wrong.
    24. We are suffering from an injury crisis.
    25. Todays performance was one of the worst I have seen in a long time and probably since the Bolton game when we got beat.
    26. Bruce seems to lack passion. Looks flat. Disinterested and how can he motivate the team with that attitude.
    27. Is Bruce getting to the point of he has taken us as far as he can take us?
    28. Davies, Huddlestone and Livermore need to get their heads out of their arses and stop daydreaming about England.
    29. Bruce isn't untouchable and our performances have been awful especially with the money he has had.
30.Maybe knee jerk but an honest assessment.
    31. The players lack passion, urgency and motivation.

Hopefully things will get better. I wouldn't say this is pessimism but just an honest assessment.

    1. Strangely I have just had a sandwich.

You can add Livermore and Elmo to the list of people who should be dropped, Rosey would have never let their player head that in while Elmo just watches. Elmo seems untouchable but isn't showing up. Hernandez did alright today but he's incredibly isolated

Stop with all the Bruce is tactically clueless. Its bollocks. The team let him down big style today. He trusts his players and allows them the freedom to play. They didnt. Thought they only had to turn up. We were out battled, comfortably, out battled.

    Drop Elmo?? GTF.
Davies has been **** since he started asking for more money and the arrival of Dawson. Man up.
Hudd and Livermore too nice in the CM. Drop one or both. Shake them up.

Id agree with all of that. 2 wins all season and a lot of excuses from Bruce..

As I said in the match thread, it seems Bruce puts his "best" players in without actually having any sort of plan. Surely you pick a formation to either exploit the opposition or stifle them, Burnley are the weakest team in the league and we should have set up to beat them. Playing a front 3 of Brady, Hernandez & Ben Arfa for example, dropping livermore and putting meyler back in, dropping elmo for rosie... switching to a flat back 4....

The worrying thing for me is its clear now, as it was last season that this 3-5-2 formation doesnt always work, so why is Bruce so determined to stick with it? It works well against top opposition because you can quickly switch to 5 at the back and defend for your life, but against Burnley? bloody go for it and put on some creative, attacking players!

Elmo plays week in week out with no threat to his position. He was shocking today and last week yet gets away with it. Ben arfa shook things up down the right and Elmo still didn't put a decent ball in. He was majorly at fault for the goal and how many times have we said that over the years? He's also incredibly one footed. He is a good player but he should be dropped and not continuously getting away with sub-par performances.

There's no threat cos he's far and away the best player there and one of the most consistent players we have.

Disagree with 18, and I think we were right to loan Sagbo out as he's a pretty nothing player, but otherwise I agree wholeheartedly.

    ya think?

funny how you don't give this assessment after the draw at Anfield.
same players, same management, same everything.
    same fickle fans I see.

SB got his tactics wrong, that's all.
    Hardly a sackable offense.

Fair assessment CMP. Agree with 1-25 for sure. We have really missed Jelavic hard working aggressiveness up front. We have no one now who puts pressure on the defence. Hernandez looks lightweight, Aluko tentative and confused, Ben Arfa ineffective. Loaning Ince out was a big mistake IMO. We definitely need players like Rossy and Meyler and Robertson who really care and put in the effort in the starting line up. Thudd needs to be benched for a few games

All them things needed to be said. You're a sympathiser who needs to be honest about the situation and not just make excuses.

I didn't say he needs to be sacked. I didn't say he was a terrible manager. I just pointed out that things aren't right at the minute and things need changing.

Bruce quite often is tactically inept. Who gives a **** whether we drew with Liverpool? It means absolutely nothing if we lose to Burnley at put in a performance like that. He was tactically inept today. By playing the same system he played against Arsenal and Liverpool against the worst side in the league and starting Aluko.

Majority of the season so far we have been painful to watch. A few good results here and there have papered over the cracks.

This one absolutely killed the season for me.

Went to all 4 games in Europa Cup - we should have won both away games by some distance if we'd just 'gone for it'.

If we had the home games would have been a formality.

Instead ....... I really can't be ****ing bothered half the time.

Dear Lord... as a group, us football fans really suck. We get upset when players/managers aren't loyal to our club, yet one or two bad results and there's no loyalty from us.

Then again, look at the Geordies... don't see many Sack Pardew cards at the moment. So fickle.

The end of last season and the beginning of this season have not been good enough.

I aren't calling for his head, I aren't calling for him to be sacked. I am just pointing out that Bruce is not exempt from criticism and he sometimes he and the players need to be criticised as a whole for the things that are glaringly wrong.

I was pissed off when I saw a thread on here tonight named ' Bruce out'
