A daughter of a mate came up to Sunderland and didn’t get many answers so looking for help with answers:

- What is one word you would use to describe Sunderland?
- How aware are you of the divide between the North and the South of England?
- How has the divide affected your life?
- What is your opinion on the quality of the education?
- What do you think of the public transport? Is it reliable?
- Do you think Sunderland is well-connected to other parts of the country?
- Do you think the services in Sunderland are of high quality? (e.g. Shops are affordable and accessible to the whole community)
- Is Sunderland well run? Are local people included in decisions made for communities?
- Is Sunderland active, inclusive and safe?
- Do you think Sunderland is diverse?
- If you have a degree, where did you study?
- What’s your job?

- What is one word you would use to describe Sunderland? Skint
- How aware are you of the divide between the North and the South of England? Very
- How has the divide affected your life? Lack of options and long term security in North, location becoming less important nowadays with remote working.
- What is your opinion on the quality of the education? Used to be better and affordable, unimaginably expensive nowadays
- What do you think of the public transport? Is it reliable? Good in London, useless up north. Need car
- Do you think Sunderland is well-connected to other parts of the country? No
- Do you think the services in Sunderland are of high quality? (e.g. Shops are affordable and accessible to the whole community) No opinion.
- Is Sunderland well run? Are local people included in decisions made for communities? Not for decades, but recent developments promising.
- Is Sunderland active, inclusive and safe? Can't say either way.
- Do you think Sunderland is diverse? No idea.
- If you have a degree, where did you study? Newcastle uni
- What’s your job? Self employed

Interesting answers there @TeamOfTalents Especially about education and transport.

Having moved back 18 months ago from Exile in Somerset, I'd say the opposite to both those as I've answered below

A daughter of a mate came up to Sunderland and didn’t get many answers so looking for help with answers:

- What is one word you would use to describe Sunderland? Home
- How aware are you of the divide between the North and the South of England? Very aware
- How has the divide affected your life? I wouldn't say it affected my life but it's noticeable that some Southerners look down at people from the north
- What is your opinion on the quality of the education? It has been brilliant for my 2 kids, more inclusive for those not as good academically
- What do you think of the public transport? Is it reliable? Compared to where I used to live it's fantastic, cam easily get around without a car
- Do you think Sunderland is well-connected to other parts of the country? Not as well as it should be
- Do you think the services in Sunderland are of high quality? (e.g. Shops are affordable and accessible to the whole community) no different to anywhere else
- Is Sunderland well run? Are local people included in decisions made for communities? Previously no, but recent decisions seem to be improving that
- Is Sunderland active, inclusive and safe? No different to any other part of the country, some good, some bad
- Do you think Sunderland is diverse? Again no different to any other part of the country
- If you have a degree, where did you study? No degree
- What’s your job? Commercial manager

What is one word you would use to describe Sunderland? Home
- How aware are you of the divide between the North and the South of England? Very aware, because of southern bias, financially
- How has the divide affected your life? It hasn't
- What is your opinion on the quality of the education? I know a few that have been to Sunderland University, who only have good things to say about it.
- What do you think of the public transport? Is it reliable? At least as reliable as anywhere else, I believe
- Do you think Sunderland is well-connected to other parts of the country? Not as well as it could/should be.
- Do you think the services in Sunderland are of high quality? (e.g. Shops are affordable and accessible to the whole community) Yes
- Is Sunderland well run? Are local people included in decisions made for communities? I don't know, but there have been massive improvements/regeneration recently.
- Is Sunderland active, inclusive and safe? I believe that the council is active now, and inclusive. I don't know how safe it is compared to other places.
- Do you think Sunderland is diverse? The area is definitely as diverse as it needs to/should be.
- If you have a degree, where did you study? Sunderland
- What’s your job? Not relevant
