A pub landlady has won the latest stage of her fight to air Premier League games using a foreign TV decoder.

Will the same apply to F1 broadcast - I would think so.....

Does anyone know of any other countries which have free-to-view F1 whose feed it might be possible to get?

I dunno if I would want to watch F1 in a Pub.

I prefer a quiet afternoon, phone switched off, door locked and Girlfriend asleep so I can absorb all the action

I don't think it does. To my knowledge the main appeal of foreign decoders for Premier League football is the greater variety of matches. If you go abroad they show all PL matches, even 3PM kickoffs. Therefore you can get a better service at a reduced price.

With F1 you get the same feed from the host broadcaster, but you'd have foreign commentary which would make it difficult to keep up, especially if they had ad breaks. Maybe European broadcasters will offer English commentary to exploit this loophole (I would if owned one of these companies). Obviously the coverage would be cheaper, it depends how much people value the commentary.

Another thing to consider is that all the other channels included in the package would be worthless to you. I think people would rather stream Sky's coverage illegally for free than pay for foreign coverage.

I thought this legal battle had already been won. No doubt the Murdochs have wheedled thier way into having the legal system in this country changed to suit themsleves. As I recall the landlord has legally obtained a feed from another EC country, so really Sky can do nothing.

I would imagine one of the myp2p sites will have it, I usually watch the australian premier league football feed on them, so you'll probably be able to find a eglish speakig feed.
For me thugh it wil be back to the 80's, i'll just have to wear cotton wool in my ears between the actual race and BBC highlights

    Five Live. Simple.

OT: Way things are going it wouldn't surprise me if Bernie's forced to renegotiate this deal - there's still 5 months till next season!
