What is it?

A bunch of people talking on the internet randomly to other folks.

Sometimes mates can be born out of it. But is it actually connected that much to real life?


I have folks on here, my virtual pals.(not that many) who maybe i would get along with in the outside world. (See norway) mainly Nads,Billy and Tel.

There are others (welder,nordic,outlaw,horden) but overall we are just strangers..

Just passing in the virtual (or mainly otter land).


So what is this forum to you?

I get on with most people who I know in the real world, I know I can come across as a complete foreskin on here but that's probably down to my interpretation of posts. I don't get involved in heated ****e face to face I can't keep a straight face for long enough to bother with stuff like that.

I find most of this stuff funny/interesting and I'd say there's a handful of posters on here and some who no longer post who I'd be happy to go out of my way for. Probably more than a handful. I've said it enough times, this board's got loads of top lads on it, it's **** all like any other board on here.

Big Vinnie is that poster who doesn't know he's being funny, I've noticed a lot more upbeat and humourous post from V since he retired, obviously enjoying life pal.

I have met quite a few from this site and I can honestly say that i have liked everyone that I have met... As for the forum as a whole, it is a place where we discuss all manner of topics that invariably brings differing opinions to the fore which sometimes escalates to proper disagreements. These for me are all part of the attraction of the forum and it always surprises me when some seem to take it personally and have fall outs.

 

I thought either i was or others losing the plot.

 

I have one exception on this forum, it's no secret, he made his bed.

I'd pay for a round for every other poster, Wearside Pride would only get one despite his 18 usernames.

 

Thats because, lets be frank about this. We all have our favourites. And how we percieve them.

He is a big miss to the forum, although I still keep in touch with him and hope to see him sometime over the summer..

Yes..Some of them such as VJ and Smug I class a s friends..I still keep in touch with them though, but stil miss their input.
