Reporting on the Man City v Aston Villa match, The Independent newspaper stated: - "It was a Manchester spring evening that might have been dragged straight from the pages of Morrissey's recent memoirs: stupendous rain, acute longing and a dreadful sense of foreboding. But this time in the humdrum town, Manchester City did not let anyone down." Whilst The Independent reporter may well have been feeling wet and dismal, far away from London, watching City rather than United, 'Humdrum' hardly describes a city as vibrant as Manchester. When one bears in mind that the editor AMOL RAJAN is the one who published the defamatory article, there are at least 2 people working for the owner (Alex Lebendev) who should be sacked! Alternatively, The Independent should be banned from Manchester.
