I should have put 'A Hull perspective' not 'The' in the thread title but I don't know how to change it.

Very dismissive of Ipswich and Wolves - I hope that SB and his team are taking the same dangerous viewpoint.

With all Bruce's experience you'd have to be mad to think he'd take anything for granted in this division.

Hull have to be clear favourites without a shadow of doubt. But the Barnsley and Cardiff games are both tough looking. By contrast every game Watford play they will be expected to win - of course it is unlikely they will - given the choice I would rather be in Hull's position than Watford's but we are not :)

it made my heart thump, just reading it..the pressure is definitely on us...and mostly this Saturday. Beat Posh, and that should give us the momentum, but they are a good team, and not easy to beat..however..with 3500 Watford fans there, hopefully they'll give the team the push they need to get over the next hurdle!

I have only managed to make it to one league game this season, Birmingham away, which we won 4-1. I'm going this Saturday so fully expect to be entertained by a convincing victory by our glory hornets!!

Lets have a look at the form table and see who has the 'easiest' games...

Hull vs Ipswich (6th), Wolves (4th), Bristol City (19th), Barnsley (7th), Cardiff (11th).

    Watford vs Posh (10th), Millwall (15th), Blackburn (22nd), Leicester (21st), Leeds (23rd).

I would say we have a much better run in than Hull, plus we are the best away team in the league so as both teams have 3 away games to play you would bet on us to win most of those, while Hull could struggle.

Don't forget about our superior goal difference either, that could prove very important come the end of the season.

i agree...and i think once we're through this weekend, if we get 3 points, we can do it. i think Hull have a harder run in, and the spectre of Cardiff at the end of the season...they'll be more nervous than us...if we win on Saturday!

I wonder where you find the current form table - would like to see how many games it take in - as it makes quite a difference if you take 5 or 10 or a random 6 or 3 home and 3 away etc

I look at it on the football league website Leo. I'll link it below, it's based on the last 6 league games played.

I respect the original article. Obviously leaning towards Hull (as it should be), but that bias hasn't clouded the writer's judgement, it's a pretty fair assessment. Brady's comments weren't the smartest though, they come across as a little bit complacent.

Obviously I hope we take 13 points more than Hull and Cardiff from our remaining five fixtures (we can't take 15 because they play each other).

But in the real world, if we went into the last game two points behind Hull, I wouldn't be able to call it. Obviously we would have to do our bit and beat Leeds, but I seem to remember us doing that on the last day of a previous season when promotion was on the line. And even if Cardiff wrap the title up before the last day, a "weakened" Cardiff team would probably have Tommy Smith and Heidar Helguson playing 90 minutes. Disaster.

What a weekend coming up - both we and Hull are more than capable of winning, drawing or losing. Unless we perform similarly it could shift the tides a lot
