We have got a very difficult week with the visit of Wolves and Charlton to Portman Road. A minimun of 4 points is required out of these 2 games. Anything less and there can be absolutely no doubt that Jewell should be fired! Personally I wanted him out last Christmas but surely even the Jewell diehards must now accept that we are doomed with this clueless idiot as manager. Yes Clegg should also walk the gang plank as the charge sheet is long and growing against him. We are in desperate times and our future stay in this league now depends on Evans finally waking up and taking action. I really am in two minds now. I always want the Town to win but if losing these next 2 games means that Jewell finally gets the bullet then so be it!
Are you seriously shocked Hampy, because sadly nothing shocks me about ITFC anymore. What a joke!!!!!!!
I want to see Scotland and Hyam starting on Wednesday night and Chopra given a kick up the arse! I fear that it will only be rearanging the deckchairs on the Titanic as we have hardly any quality to choose from! Cresswell has been very poor so far this season and tbh I never rated him much last season but I guess compared to the other dross we have he did stand out. It is nothing short of a scandal that we only have 2 recognised Centre Backs and only 1 right back who is an 18 year old kid who is currently injured. This has turned out to be a right shambles and I can't believe that any right minded Town supporter can now defend Jewell or Clegg for the huge mess we find ourselves in. Just a few short years ago we had Joe Royle who would imo have got us promoted if Evans had arrived back in 04/05. Now we are in real danger of going the other way!
Agree about Scotland, he seems to have an impact from the bench so why not start him and tell him he has an hour, he doesn't have to play the full ninety. Chopra's only things worth talking about since his arrival have all been off the field problems. Taylor seems wasted on the right so should play up top. We're like the knackers yard who buy players when they're past their best or not deemed good enough, even by clubs of similar stature to us. Rarely do we pull off a coup and sign someone still wanted by their parent club. On top of that we hardly ever have interest in our players, tells you all you need to know about the 'quality' we have. At the moment I wish we had got 8 million for Cressy, hope he proves me wrong.
The scary thing is, we could lose the next 6 games and Jewell would still be in charge. In fact i'm sure he'll still be in charge when we are in League One.
