Graeme Bailley from SSN has said there is a Newcastle United story on the backburner.

One Twitter user has claimed that it maybe referring to the pressures of the media, fans and pundits alike and that Mike Ashley could be looking for buyers for Newcastle United.

I don't know if my desperation is getting ahead of my common sense here but there is a petition doing the rounds to force Ashley out and also there's a whisper in the wind that's saying Richard Branson of all people may be interested in buying a Premier League football team.

I was going to post something about the Graeme Bailey '95% happening' now on the 'back burner'. I think it's manager based. Seems likely now Pardew has broken his silence (to some degree).

We will see what happens, could even be Carr, but that wouldn't be such a massive story.

    I would love this!

It'll be both Pards & Carr replaced by Poyet & Wise.

Ha that would be quite something.

Bet he'd be very popular inside.

I bet he'd have to pay for his protection, with toothpaste and toilet roll.

I don't want this bell end anywhere near Newcastle and Gus Poyet apparently doesn't do very well keeping discipline amongst his bunch so I'm a little unsure of his credentials as a top manager.

I hope there is no story about anything to be honest, because the possible scenarios are all too negative to contemplate.
I don't think the club will survive any more major disruption and have a hope in hell of being in a position to strengthen, retain our top players or be well prepared for the new season if this circus continues.

If it's on the back burner surely that means it's no longer happening???

Also if Ashley was selling up the timing would be awful as it would mean zero investment in players this summer (he'd not spend a penny if he was selling) so we'd essentially be an injury to Cisse away from having Shola leading the line week in, week out.

Don't doubt the stench of that **** Wise returning

Hang on it can't be that big as he has put it on the backburner. Must be something pretty trivial in all honesty

I am trying to think of an example in my life time when a 'huge' story about to break about us has ended up with me being happy about it...but I cant. Would be good fun if got Branson as our new owner tho!

Would be excellent to have Branson as our owner. A genuine guy who achieves what he sets out to do. He actually spoke to me one day in London when I was having a quiet pint and he was just like any other guy passing the time away.

I have it on good authority that this big Friday announcement is that Joe has popped and resolved the tension in Syria. He'll be back in the morning.
