    Cheers Nicky. I've always wondered what the Plymouth fans made of Pulis, especially given how the last 9 months have gone. Nice to see that they're not a bitter bunch, they could've easily been bitter about it. Some nice quotes as well:

    One of the best managers ever , never seen the players so fit.;

    Can't believe some of the views on this thread. Pulis did a fantastic job keeping us up and steadying the boat. Who cares if the football is boring ? 8th in the PL, Europe and an FA cup final speaks for itself lol.;

    Top manager top man, his training sessions at Harpers were the best I have seen.;

    He was given a mission.
    He achieved that with ease
    Discipline, fitness, no messing, hard to beat

    IF Fletch went off to manage Barca and I had a free choice today it would not be Sir Alex or Arson or ''arry'' it would be TP everytime.;

    You are actually criticising Pulis?

    On the face of it unbelievable, yet typical comments from Argyle fans living in cloud cuckoo land devoid of footballing reality.

    He takes over a team heading for relegation and within weeks makes them into a solid mid-table Championship team, improving the fitness, tactical organisation and discipline in the team.

    He spends no money in the process, just bringing in a couple of loan signings and Lillian Nalis on a free transfer who Sturrock spent a couple of million quid trying to replace with journeymen dross who only managed to get us 2 relegations before departing and struggling to find another club to take them on.

    Romain Larrieu is actually on record as saying that Pulis is the best Manager he has ever worked with, but what does his personal experience mean compared to the wisdom and insight available on this website.

    Pulis does not 'do' relegation, he builds and improves clubs.

    Solid mid-table Championship or fighting to keep out of the Conference, which would you prefer now?;

    I'll be honest, when I watch the match I've had a few beers, want Argyle to win with every fibre of my body, and couldn't give a cack about the quality of football on display as long as the results were good.

    I loved Pulis, he would've gotten us promoted.;

    It wasn't great to watch, granted. However, it was what we needed at the time. Pulis put some steel in the team to retain our Championship status.;

    To be candid, I've watched the three seasons of some of the poorest football I can rememeber Argyle playing with well known outcomes. If I'm given the choice of watching dreary uninspired hoofbal or dreary organised hard to beat stuff, I know what I'd prefer-particulary if it means league survival.

    Being honest, Pulis was brought in to do a job and he did it. Why is there a problem with that? I for one am more than happy to acknowledge the excellent job he did for us irrespective of the playing style.

    Oh, and one more thing, remember boring, boring Arsenal?

    Yep a very good read and mixed sentiments from all the fans just like waht we have here now at Stoke. Fans that are happy to watch ****e football but stay a prem side and fans that want to watch decent football and for Pulis to start having a go.
    I've made it pretty obvious I think that I'm no Pulis fan but that does not go to say that if he changed the way he went about things that I could change my perspective on him. He has the money, the chairman, the fans (so far) and the players to make us a big club again. The only problem is though I don't think he knows how to!

    WADDO for MANAGER <ok>
    I think he does Waddo, it's just that he's scared to take a "risk or three" well said it sums up pretty much how I feel. Especially after that shower of **** we both had to sit through the other night.

    Potts is was seriously woeful mate and even more so that we had all given up family get togethers and parties to watch that rubbish at 8pm on a cold winters night. I left the ground that night with the " Pulis has mugged me again feeling " which is not a good feeling at all. We had the players to have won that game but again he didn't go for it. I would have bought Jerome on myself sat him along side that muppet Jones and put Walters in the middle behind them two and gone for it. It was like watching 2 boring old Russians play a game of chess. On the upside my little one enjoyed so it made her night out anyway :)

    I took the wife along to watch the Villa and I think I said this on another thread.
    My Missus said, "Every time I see K Jones he looks a lazy piece of work" She learns pretty quickly who does and who doesn't put a shift in.

    Like you intimated Waddo, EVEN my good Lady could have picked a "Team" to at least av a go at the Villa. That is why I will never really
    get my head around how Mr Pulis thinks or doesn't think. I'll be quite honest and say this.
    I have only EVER ONCE left a game early. We played Man Utd Cup game way back at the Victoria Ground. My boss gave me a couple of hours off
    to see the game and I was late getting into the ground. I left early cos it may have cost me my job. I swore then that I would NEVER leave another
    game before the final whistle. Can't tell you how close I was to doing just that the other night.

    I only hope that we at least give Wigan a decent game on Saturday. If we play like that I fear the worst as Wigan are IMO a half decent team and unlike T.P.
    At least Martinez tells his lads to "Have a go, home or away" Then, I woke up only to hear T.Ps comments on the game, I felt like throwing the radio through
    the bedroom window. It's like he's happy with a pt at home and I'm sure he doesn't even care what we "the fans must think" after watching that Villa game.

    I've also read that link and it proves one thing to me. T.P. will NOT/never/EVER change.

    Potts I'm like you mate I never leave until the final whistle and to be honest mate never have. But for the first time in 40+ years I actually felt like leaving early when we played QPR at home the other week. I didn't though but that was the first time I thought stuff this I've seen enough. Being a Stoke fan is really hard as we have had more than our fair share of managers that have played us along and now one that for the first time probably in our clubs history we have a huge financial backer and yet can't pick a decent side! Pulis does not have Stoke City at heart it's just a job to him and he does not care what anyone else thinks so long as he keeps us in the prem and keeps drawing his wages!

    Just off topic matie but, see the other thread Nick started re that Russian player etc..
    Is what YOU said the other day re Baines and or Cahill a rumour or are you like me.?
    You know someone who knows more than the average poster on here?

    Cos, IF what I was told the other night is true. Someone is either telling porkies or is an excellent poker player.
    I mean Tony's quote about the Jan window.. re. he said, we'll offload a few player's but I'm not really looking at bringing too many player's in.??
    At least, that's how I read it anyway.

    Just wondering is all Waddo <whistle>
