Ken Brown Continued John Bond's philosophy and brought a Milk cup to boot Dave Stringer Arguably our best ever manager, bringing a free flowing side and a fourth place finish Mike Walker Benefitted from Stringer's excellent squad but played a tactically astute game that brought the best out of our players John Deehan Piss poor. Out of his depth as a manager from day one Gary Megson Negative and depressing. Poor appointment both as a caretaker and a permanent manager. Bryan Hamilton Some of the worst football played at Carrow road in recent years. Poor as a coach, worse as a manager. Nigel Worthington Used his knowldge of the squad well and bought well to achieve promotion. Went slightly pear shaped afterwards. Bryan Gunn Completely out of his depth. Adams The jury's out.
good post kent but the key to all the successful internal appointments, with one exception, is that they all carried on the good work of their predecessor. the only one who had to rebuild effectively from scratch was worthington who although not my favourite human being, did do a very good job initially. adams is starting with a relegated team where players are thinking about leaving. this is why in our current scenario it was screaming out for someone with experience who could steady the ship and take what will be a strong (at this level) squad towards the top of the division. as i said last night, had this appointment been made two years down the line and we had failed to go up during those two years, i'd be all for it, but the timing is questionable to say the least.
