    ... at a hell of a lot of clubs will be hoping Newcastle beat Wigan today. If Wigan beat Newcastle and then us, half the league is suddenly in the relegation battle for that third place on the elevator down.

    Who knows, maybe even Sunderland supporters will be secretly cheering them on?

    I would be happy with that - both games being draws. Keep that 9 point gap and also keep several teams below us as well as the bottom 3

    But a Newcastle win wouldn't be too bad as the gap would be massive
