..Marriage went to the dogs in Peru's capital Lima as multiple canine couples tied the knot. Dressed for the occasion, the pooches made their way down the aisle helped along by their nervous owners. "For me the dog is important because since I have no children they have become my children," said one owner. The ceremony was made legal when the canine couples put their paw prints on the matrimonial documents. Ingrid Chavarri, the organiser of the event, said: "I did it to be representative and to also let the pet participate in the family and also for me to explain what it is to be a responsible pet owner."
