A nice little Friday night hop. Based in Raynes Park beside a dual carriageway it is not too easy to get to. However, the Elf shall not be deterred in reaching the magical 500 grounds. Colliers Wood lost to Sutton Common 1-2, with a healthy following of palice filth amongst a gate of about 60. Entrance, a decent programme, and badge for the meagre sum of £11

There is a very good piece on the Guardian football website today about the raw deal the Football League is giving away fans. The CEO let slip in the week that it is a deliberate policy to schedule the longest trips for midweek fixtures, so as to maximise Football League attendances on Saturday. There have been some real horror stories this season which are cited - Stevenage taking 34 fans on a Tuesday night to Carlisle, Leeds fans missing the last train back from Cardiff andd being effectively stranded. This is a real issue - away fans are the life blood of football, particularly at the lower levels. I would like to see away fans travelling midweek charged a flat ticket fee of no more than £10.
Colney Heath v Biggleswade in the Combined Counties League this Saturday. I think I'll support the away team having lived three miles from there in my latter secondary school years.
I saw your post on CL about the Shrewsbury away being called off - for a friendly FFs ! Let’s hope not, I am looking forward to that one. Qualifiers ok but calling games off for poxy friendlies !?
You should have gone last season. The Elf was in the programme, Shrewsbury celebrating me completing the 92 that night.
Remember when he guaranteed Xabi Alonso wouldn’t leave Madrid, 12 hours later he rolled up in Munich.
