Not sure tbh. **Have just seen they play at Oakley Road, sharing with Homesdale**. I'll probably go down there for a midweek game some time.
Bridon Sports v Elmstead yesterday ended 2-1 to the home side. Bridon play in the Kent League, division 2. Divsion 2 of the Kent League is not on my list but with the weather and other games I wanted to go to being postponed, once Bridon confirmed to me the game would go ahead then this was where I had to settle for. It was very strange getting out of Charlton station, having a chat with a couple of mates then buggering off to this game. Duchatelet you have to go you prick. Bridon play at the Meridian Sports Club next to Charlton Park. On leaving the other 25'ish at the final whistle I could hear the boos from a mile down the road at The Valley. That confirmed that my monitoring the 0-0 had finished that way. I picked up the 17.21 from Blackheath which would have pulled in at Charlton 4 minutes earlier. There was no bugger on it, I dread to think how many were at The Valley.
Did not even cross my mind. I met my mate and picked up my programmes, bumped into a couple of others, including EssexAl! We had a real good chat, like we always do away from a keyboard. We did not mention the squirrel or Ivor though.
Another Spartan South Midlands game today, Biggleswade v Oxhey Jets. Guillem Ballague is a director for Biggleswade. He goes to most of their games and I got a picture taken with him when I saw Hadley v Biggleswade earlier in the season.
Sitting 6' away from Guillem who is chatting to a mate. Loads of pics where he has had the likes of Messi and Maradona with a Biggleswade top. Top banana this geezer is.
Approximately 35 people witnessed a truly shocking 0-0 yesterday. An exhibition of hoof ball that saw neither keeper have a shot to save. A very bland ground which backed on to where Biggleswade Town used to play before moving. A village of about 15k surprisingly having 3 teams, Biggleswade United and Biggleswade FC in the Spartan South Midlands with Biggleswade Town playing in the Evo Stik South.
Three football teams in a town of 15,000 - sounds like the way things were a hundred years ago and the way they should still be. 35 fans, terrible game and a 0-0 draw. That is admirable. Your time and effort to bring it to us is much appreciated Elfs Their kits look pretty decent, I wonder how much their shirt sponsors paid for the advertising space.
Guillem Ballague certainly spreads the word but I feel Biggleswade could go further with his backing. A bit frustrating possibly for the hardy few.
Cray playing Chipstead next Saturday ..... Cray got Planning approval for their new ground on Sidcup by-pass two weeks ago.
Genghis Kahn has to approve the planning yet and he will probably say no as he likes building houses on sports grounds.
Here at Gunwharf Quays. Looking for a new coat for Bristol next week. Shoreham v Whyteleafe tomorrow, pitch inspection at 10 so need to look at options.
On my way down to Brighton now for Shoreham v Whyteleafe, a 10am pitch inspection is worrying but hopefully the overnight/Saturday forecast of no rain is accurate and we get the go ahead. I have another 5-6 options but this means a bit of faffing around. Hopefully the end result will be another ground off the list.
why don't you just learn to drive?.... I am sure you could find a driving school which has a booster seat?
