I think most of us would have settled for a point before today's game if we're honest. Yes we were 2 goals up and destined for all 3 points and then gave up 2 goals to achieve a draw, but if you consider who we were up against the resul is more than satisfactory. A win vs WHU on Tuesday will help our position no end and a near full house can help us over the finishing line. Well done lads and keep up the unbeaten streak on Tuesday to keep us in the Championship.
With WH winning 6-1 today, we will have our work cut out on Tuesday. Can Carey and co keep out NM and Vas Te, or will our past come back to haunt us ? Well done to our lads today - a well won and vital point, and a step nearer to safety. Coventry must be getting quite worried about now
If we get a draw on Tuesday and Barnsley lose against Hull, we could go above them next Saturday. We can't rely on others, we just need one more win CTID
I'm sure they're only feeling marginally more nervous than us. They too won a hard earned point to maintain the four point gap when for most of the day it looked like we were going to go seven points clear - ending their hopes. Until it's mathematically impossible for them to go past us...
Yep great point for the boys today...........we will get at least a point on tuesday, I have every faith in the lads & our great supporters.....and of course Delboy!!
This is now not between us and Cov, with Barnsley and Forest only 3 points above us. Portsmouth 7 behind Here is the link again for everyone to start predicting http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_1/predictor/default.stm Have fun, and play with your head not heart
An unexpected point at Birmingham, well done Del and the lads. We need to match or better Coventry's results until they are down and we are safe Up the City !!!!!!!!
I think to get a scordraw against B/Ham,4th in the Championship is a bigger acheivment than scoring 7 against poor old Burton,I thought I'd get that in case the sags come streaming over here shouting the odds off...
Coventry have 2 very winnable home games and end up with a game away at Southampton. If Southampton's position is secured prior to that fixture will they be likely to field a weakened team? Lots of possibilities remain and the only certainty for City is get 6 points from our remaining games and leave nothing to chance or have to rely on other results. That premise could change again on Tuesday based on those results so keep the faith.
The other thing I would like to mention, is Well Done Del only beaten once in 7 games, and 5 unbeaten And Mike no Southampton only have that one as their remaining home game they would want to sign off with a win, only two teams have won there this season.
Steads was a beaut, Woolford should of chased there winger in for the 2nd but oh well, also how bloody lucky was there first goal, ive noticed since deans been brought in only lucky goals go in, unlucky it was for flapper on the bench
I suppose prem if I were Nigel Adkins I would want to end the season with a roar rather than a whimper so I think you're right. Nice to see a bit of ambition in the squad of late, like thy're finally playing for the shirt and next season. I hope we can keep our nerve on Tuesday because it is as critical a game as we've played in a very long time. Full house and 3 points will do nicely thank-you.
We are meeting West Ham when they are in a good moment, as Mancini puts it. Odds are that Maynard will play, because he didn't today and will be fresh. This could be very dangerous. Against that will be our new found belief in ourselves and our diamond of a manager. Another match for heroes
The Roar - the relegation pressure is off you now. The result and performance against Coventry will tell whether you give a toss about that game or not
Just hope we can pull another remarkable performance out of the bag and get something against Spanners
