On Sunday i went to watch Cordoba play Sporting Gigon. To be honest i was not expecting too much but i was totally wrong, the quality of football was very good, the atmosphere was fantastic and the price was incredible!! They play in the equivalent of the chamionship and are currently sixth, their ground holds about 21000 and the attendance was just under 15000. What made it great was the dancing and singing from all 4 sides, the waving of scarves and all round non stop noise, something you dont tend to get at PR. The cost was incredible, i had a friends season ticket as he was working, so it was free but thats not my point. A season ticket is 115 euros which includes a free prog every game and you get a replica shirt. I have to say, this is something Town could learn from!! Maybe charge £200 for North stand or equiv and throw in a replica shirt, then maybe you would get more bums on seats and better atmosphere etc. Needless to say, next season i will get a season ticket!!
Sounds a great experience,Spanish. Would be interesting to find out who owns the Club(I doubt it's big business). The trouble is in the UK we've sold off anything of value be it our football clubs, utilities ,Royal Mail, etc to big business who's only motive is screwing every last penny out of their investment and sod the poor punter.(There that's my anti capitalist rant over for the day!)
