I´d say we´ve had a good two weeks
Seven points in the league, and a cup win too,
    And before Mister Hughton speaks
I dare say that he´d share that view

My fears were slightly put to shame
As today´s confrontation seemed much like a draw,
To me, when previewing the game
So happy with the 1-0 score

And I think we deserved it too
Despite a late onslaught from the long ball kings,
It was only when they turned the screw
That we near lost control of things

But hold on we did, and now sit
With distance to those in the lower extremes,
    And we´re starting to benefit
From the work of CH and his team

He seems to have now found a shape
That suits us, and brings out the best in the squad,
And good to feel there´s no escape
If any have a day that´s odd

    With competition really hot
So that even Howson and Fox and the like,
Find just getting into the pot
So tough a job that they feel <yikes>

And the way that the midfield played
Today where B. Johnson and A. Tettey ruled,
    Was impressive and only made
Their jobs harder while we all drooled

So well done on beating a team
Who´re renowned for making life harder than most,
14th now and picking up steam
    I think that´s just worth half a toast. <bubbly><bubbly>OTBC

    Have a great week all,

    Yours

Hi RBF, very happy with that result, though I have to say I don't share the views of Mr. Pulis! <laugh>

No, me neither Dave, but I thought I did detect a slight glimpse in the eye, or tongue in the cheek, when he said he thought that Stoke played like the home team <doh>, still he always likes to be a bit controversial. Great win, but just as tight as I expected it to be. <ok>

I never liked Pulis since he got away with being banned from driving as he 'discusses confidential information in the car.' Do it at home or in your office you prick! <grr>

I only say this as I'm banned from driving for a year due to seizures (and not breaking the law) while he breaks the law and gets away with it.
