    Good read Eire. I still can't get over Hunter and Cherry dying. I really hope we get promoted just for them.<ok>

    Is it 50 years since Don tried to lift the curse, or are you attempting humour USA style...:grin:

    A good read but a very poor headline. In that "cursed" 50 years we've been league champions twice, won the FA Cup, the European Fairs cup and been promoted twice. If this refers to the gypsy curse that presumably has been around as long as Elland Road then we've won a lot more before that too. Of course we've had our downs too but we were a very average club for forty years before Revie turned up.

    This particular quote shows that the author of the article really doesn't know much about Leeds United, when talking about the European Cup final ;

    "That particular injustice is why Leeds fans still occasionally sing 'We are champions, champions of Europe'."

    Occasionally ??? Then again, it is the Daily Mail.

    Shako, that should explain the humor for you. :emoticon-0148-yes:

    Many fans would love to have had some of the successes we have had over the last 50 years! :emoticon-0172-mooni
