WOW more than 4000 city at the Ricoh is very possible

read the below just put up on the site-

Ricoh Arena visit is proving popular with supporters.

City will receive a further allocation of 1,149 tickets for Saturday’s Sky Bet League One match at Coventry City.

So far the club has sold 2,463 away tickets for the match at Ricoh Arena. In response, City’s allocation of tickets available to purchase in advance has been extended to 3,730.

It’s already guaranteed to become City’s biggest away support of the season to date, eclipsing the 1,979 who travelled to Walsall.

There is actually room for up to 6,500 away fans at the Ricoh Arena in the South Stand on the day.

Here we still are, enjoying the euphoria of being unbeaten and top of the division so what could top the nice scenario? How about taking the largest away support for Bristol City since we went to the Wembley final to cheer a dominant City side to victory at the Ricoh Arena over a revitalised Coventry who have something to prove to the football world after the stadium debacle that threatened their total oblivion.

We couldn't wish for a better time to test our mettle and determine exactly where we sit in the developmental stakes because I still am not totally convinced that we are anywhere close to being the finished product that we will need to continue our assault on the Championship and onwards. Even the most exhilarated supporters must surely accept that their are certain components of this team that don't quite make sense and yet we continue to show the world that we will not lay down easily.

With the help of our travelling hordes next weekend we can get the job done but please don't get too disappointed should we lose because it has to happen sometime (doesn't it?) and a scenario such as the one fast approaching might not be such a bad time. Nah - 3 points is all we should accept, what was I thinking?

Mike. This team are not winning because of luck or because of poor opponents. It is down to a very good team spirit, hard work, and a determination to succeed.
Sure it is not the finished article but like all companies, businesses and sports teams, it is continually evolving and improving. There could even be significant personnel changes that one cannot foresee now.
But as I said elsewhere, I genuinely believe this team is heading for it's first championship since 1955.

I think this is the game which breaks our record since 1958,hopefully a win or draw is what we need.

We will out sing Coventry, lets hope we can out score them on the pitch.

Team spirit is something we haven't heard around Bristol City for many years and it's a long time overdue. Thanks for pointing out a character trait that rarely comes out in discussion and your comments bring positivity to most of us for a better season than we have enjoyed in previous recent memory.

Hopefully we will be back into the Ricoh groove (in other words 3 points) rather than the farce that was in Northampton last season.....
I used to love travelling up the motorways to away games in my younger years, hanging the scarves out of the windows and making obscene gestures to any Plymouth or Cardiff fans we happened to overtake!

I was at Northampton last season, great day,but bad result, this will be like a home game at Coventry with 4000 city fans there.

i would imagine we will have the biggest following Saturday in the fooball league.

Don't try to tell us that you have grown up.
Girls grow up into women but we stay as spotty teenagers for ever mooning out of car windows, screaming abuse at fans of any other team and listening to the scarves banging on the window all the way to places like Leicester or Carlisle.
No wonder I have tinnitus now but believe I am only eighteen!
