This isn't someone I know and I know nothing beyond what is in the linked article, I just read it on HDM, and if there's a more appropriate thread please let me know and I'll move it. I just thought others may want to be aware and/or contribute. A fundraiser has been launched for a Hull dad who suffered a severe brain injury after collapsing in his bathroom. Chris 'Whitey' White, a father-of-three, was without a pulse for more than 50 minutes. He was resuscitated at home and transferred to Hull Royal Infirmary where he was placed in an induced coma. During resuscitation, Chris received 18 shocks to the heart which resulted in heart failure. But he defied the odds to survive and, after four weeks in a coma, the lifelong Hull City fan began to show signs of improvement. Speaking to Hull Live, Chris's best friend, Phil Dayes, said: "About 20-25 of us are doing the 'Walk for Whitey' up Scafell Pike as we try and raise some money for him to get private physiotherapy so that he can walk further on his own. Phil added: "When we've visited him, there have been moments when his sense of humour comes out and he has banter with us, which means the world, given what he's been through. He's an amazing guy who'd do anything to help anyone, so any donations would be really appreciated." You can donate to the fundraiser by clicking here. Any funds raised would be put towards Neuro physiotherapy, physical therapy, and a psychologist to help Chris manage with his memory loss. Throughout this, Sarah has returned to work full time along with raising 3 boys and supporting Chris and surviving on one salary. Any excess funds would be used to support the family, remove unnecessary stress and to give the opportunity to make memories for this wonderful family that are made more difficult with a complex brain injury. https://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/new...-news/hull-dad-biggest-heart-suffered-8623185
