I thought Reading were a bit meaty yesterday and if I was Adkins I would warn the players that they can expect a great deal worse than that when they play Stoke in three weeks time. I am beginning to wonder if the sides that play in this very physical way do so in the knowledge that may put one or two of the other team's players out for a few weeks and thus gain an advantage as such a weakened team may suffer in the the next few games. Being a dirty team, which Reading were, does have its advantages even if they are not immediate. Finally just to remind everyone once again; Guly is the Dog's Bollocks.
Not sure they were that dirty, it was mainly just Jason Roberts who was floored numerous times to my delight!
Le Fondre appeared channeling the spirit of Papa Waigo in the first half. Perhaps he was struggling with the pace of Fonte and Yoshida.
Never thought they were dirty. Leant on a few players, but then most people seem to regard Lambert as a climbing frame confident in the knowledge that it is never a foul.
I couldn't remember if he did or not, definitely should have. Specially Roberts all he did was bitch at the ref.
In L1 to get a suspension, you needed 5 yellow cards before the new year and I think it was 10 yellow cards by the second saturday of April or something? PL rules may be different though.
tomw19 is correct. The ref didn't book anyone. He just gave them all a good talking to. Made a nice change, I suppose. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20564808
As well as winning the game 1-0, we won the foul count as well, 11 to their 10. Are we dirty or do "we always get sh*t refs"??? I'm defintely going with the latter
