ive been reading for years about our various owners being no fools because they made x amount of millions or billions from various enterprises therefore it should follow they will be a success in the football area. Not so in my opinion. It’s relatively easy to surround yourself with the right personnel and make a success of anything computers, media, retail outlets or whatever without having any prior knowledge in those areas. The only pressure to succeed will come from your bank or investors. Football club ownership is a totally different. Your customers are all lifelong fans who will know much more about the football than any owner. They will also be an unforgiving lot and demand almost instant success, especially if like our lot, have been **** on for fifteen years by a variety of chancers. Therefore, like all fans, I hope Rad eventually makes a go of it but don’t pin your hopes on what or how much he made in other spheres of life. He’s in a totally different situation to anything he will have ever had to deal with and he will have to think differently how he moves forward. Fans won’t remain patient forever
That’s why you get a man in who knows what its all about and give him a decent budget to work with not peanuts
As the old saying goes. If you're a billionaire with aspirations of becoming a millionaire, buy a football club
