It seems to be getting a bit fraught on here of late, there are seemingly two camps forming - the optimists and pessimists and the contrasting views and lively debate appear to be turning into sniping remarks and general disharmony.

    Remind you of anything?

Come of lads - keep it clean and friendly. Optimitst - try to explain the reasons to be cheerful/positive. Pessimists - by all means vent your frustrations on here with a view to clearing it out of your systems and then, come Saturday, full belief and support please (and no, I'm not saying that you don't do this already).

    Lastly, lighten up FFS!

    Matt :)

Agree, healthy debate is fine but there is no place for any sort of abuse.

A bit fraught? Lighten up? The club I have supported for 45+ years are finally back where they belong after two decades of pain. They have an owner who has a vision that could turn us into a solid top tier club for generations to come. If we get a new stadium as mooted I might even get to the bogs and back at half time without risk to asphyxiation and/or missing the start of the second half (Ellerslie folks, you know what I mean). And yet this is all at risk due to a combination of a terrible run of luck, some seriously underperforming playing staff and some several who don't like playing more than 30 minutes at a time, and rumours that all is not well in the Boardroom again. Other than this I am perfectly unfazed and confident. U Rrrrrsssss!

This is QPR! Nothing is simple. We have had three winnable must-win games and lost the lot, cue pessimism.

Everton looks a tough nut to crack and they're on their usual late run up the table, cue pessimism.

All the talk from ITKs's is that the squad is divided and at loggerheads, cue pessimism.

Other than that I'm cushty. I think we'll get a result on Saturday, law of the sod. Cue optimism.

If you really wanted something to be pessimistic about try being a Pompey fan today...

I'm an eternal optimist (except just after a defeat) but I can't resist sarcasm/gallows humour.

According to Mr Barton's latest Tweet....." Training was great today, camp is buzzing again. Gym this afternoon. Roll on Saturday...#QPR " sounds like a bunch of happy campers, a bit like us lot really.

As John Cleese once said “It’s not the despair, I can take the despair; it’s the hope that kills me…”.
In keeping with this idea, and in order to preserve my sanity I have already resigned myself to the cold certainty that we're going down. However, as soon as we kick off against Everton then of course all that goes out of the window (again) and I go back to being a daydream believer. That's just the way it is. As others have said, this is QPR, we don't do easy!

We are a club on the up, I feel that about the club - previously... everything was 'hope'. The board and owners are developing all facets of the club. We are bringing in good players.. and if the worse was to happen, we get relegated, hey... we will come back up a year older and a stronger club with premier training facilities and additional strength in the squad next year. I'll be here regardless, supporting as I always have done through thick and thin.
For the rest of this season.. I want to be optimistic, and have that hope that we can save ourselves. We can do it!! (fingers and toes crossed too)

Support your team we are in the premier league while there's hope then there's a chance and we have 36 points to go for and get back into the middle league ... Moaning should only be allowed when we all deserve that right in a few years ... Once we are an established top flight club and that it not now so support your team as nothing I write or you write has any effect ... Positive thoughts and pride in your club build pride and confidence
There are too many on here who needed to say sorry to our club for doubting stuff ... Come the end of the season by all means chew the fat but not now

Shake your head wildly for two minutes get your old man out and whack it with a steak mallet... Works every time ... Cerny you can use a cotton bud and the Fickle should all wear panty liners

    Onwards and upwards

I'm sure a lot more people would cut him some slack if he earned his £80k a week on the pitch. The fact that he is a prize A twat also doesn't help his cause.

RR. You are not the only one. I don't see the point in blind faith that it will be alright but I will always hope that miracles can happen. However I do think that some of the stuff written has been savage and damaging for our morale as much as any player who might read or hear those comments.

Fairies do exist - I saw one in my childhood that was friends with a talking worm but constantly harassed by a possessed TV.
