    Morning All,

Just a few thoughts, I'm not a regular poster on here although I've read almost every post this season :)
I've been watching/following/supporting QPR since the 70's, I will fess up and say I mostly can manage only a few games a season,
but the love of the R's has always been there and none more so than this season. Why this season ?
Well mainly because after our struggle to stay up last season (where this 45 year old was hiding behind the sofa not wanting to watch the last 10 mins of the Man C game on the last day of the season - I kid you not !),
I really wanted us to do well to prove a lot of people (particulary friends) wrong in thier assessment of QPR.

It's taken me almost 19 games to try and come to terms of how the season has panned out for QPR.
From the opening day loss at Swansea (my 1stgame of the season) to the 2-1 loss yesterday (my 2nd game).
Having taken Mr Hughes at his word that 'QPR would never be in the relegation battle again' during his reign, I was comfortable
as most on here that his signings over the summer would see us build for the future. The lack of a commanding Center Back was my main
worry (but Ryan Nelson wow I think he has shut all of us up with his performances).

But since that opening day defeat, each week is spent scouring various websites, forums looking for info, updates and mostly reassurance
from fellow R's that you know what ...we will be ok...But the majority have been thinknig the same as me...we are doomed..

I think I live in my own little dream world of hope that we will get out of it and we will survive. Harry is in he will turn it around won't he ? Afterall
he is excellent at this sort of thing !

Yesterday however I saw first hand what you all have been saying on this site and on others...watching on TV does no justice to what u see live at the ground.
1st half - thought we started ok........but is it just me ,from what I saw we just don't have the pace or the creative passer to command in midfield...
Adel is great don't get me wrong but for me he is one step over too many, or one touch more than he needs.......alot of people around me were slating
Cisse but watching him closely yesterday, he makes the runs but doesn't get the pass..Mackie will run and work hard for you all day long but his finishing !!!!
I was very impressed with M'bia thought he looked solid.

We were unlucky with the goal and the pen that was never given, and Clint Hill's header, well I was well out of my seat thinking it was in.
Having calmed down since yesterday, I thnk the bottom line is Harry is gonna have to work some serious magic.

The only consolation I can find is that against Swansea it was definately 11 players playing as indivduals yesterday I did get the sense of a team ethic, we did close down well in
patches and defended well (Anton actually played ok in my op), even SWP got a few cheers for tracking back and puting in a few tackles.

Our only saving grace in my opinion is that the teams above us are not winning which is keeping us in touching distance.
    Thanks.

Oh and you guys on here, boy you've brought a smile to my face with some of the comments I've read since the start of the season...

Happy New Year to you all...lets dare to dream !

Good post Rajman, there are many of us who can empathise with your feelings. I feel a bit like someone watching a car crash about to happen, you can see what's coming and can do nothing but watch as the horror unfolds.

The one thing that seems to have remained constant throughout this season is our players' inability to string more than three passes together without losing the ball, it was evident against Swansea on the opening day and little has changed. I fear for us against Liverpool as they will be smarting after losing at Stoke and be determined to make up for their defeat last season. It could be an uncomfortable ride...

We are, without doubt, the worst team in the league at keeping the ball.

I stand corrected. Appearances can indeed be deceptive.

But we're first with off sides per game. Even with shots on target per game we're 11th. Every statistical info has us in the middle of the table but it doesn't mean sh.it
