I'm almost surprised no-one else has started a thread along these lines, but here are my 2 cents worth: Samba - signed him for Blackburn, and he plays in a position we desperately need. He might hold off signing for Spurs if Hughes is announced tomorrow. Onhoua - as above, he might want to take the step as he has worked with Hughes before. Adam Johnson - only playing a bit-part at City this season, and although he didn't play for Hughes, he's been around a lot of players who have. Bassong - if Spurs sign Samba, then in Cerny's words, this should be a done deal. Zamora - was injured for a lot of the time that Hughes was at Fulham, but still scored 7 in 16. Reportedly unsettled at Fulham. Danny Murphy - again, played for him at Fulham, and may want a last signing on fee before he signs off on his career. Would be a good short term replacement for Ali. They're the players I can think of that would both do a job for the team, and could very well be prepared to come. And I'm sorry, 999, but Hazzard isn't one of them.
Hazard no, but Henrique yes. Like Hazard but better! All the rest are good calls though. That will do for me Houston. Henrique & Taarabt, Prem beware!
Kelly from Liverpool as LB Kenwynne Jones from Stoke CF Benayoun from Arsenal Creative MF As above for CHs Livermore from Spurs MF (Loan) Krancjar from Spurs MF
Kelly's the second choice at right back, I think, although their young left back (Robinson?) is pretty tasty. And I can't see Wenger letting Benayoun go (didn't he sign in the summer?) The rest I'd be pretty happy with, apart from Jones. For no good reason, I've never really liked him.
On the flip side, I'd be interested to hear who you think will struggle to get a game under Hughes (of the regulars). I'm thinking Mackie, Derry, gabs and possibly even HH. Typical warnock type workhorses but severely lacking in the quality Hughes would be looking for.
